so i started a WTB thread of vented hood, the pm sequence is kind of messed up but ill try to number them off
basically i payed for the hood VIA paypal, paypal emails me my receipt for payment, paypal shows that the request was payed, we communicated on a daily basis and things were goin smooth, i phoned him, he answered, rx7__newbie then tells me paypal asked him to add his bank account, and he does not have my money yet, so i give him a couple of days, nothin happens, he still says he doesnt have my money.
then out of no where, he gets too sick to ship my item or reply to me, and now his phone either blocked my phone number or his phone is turned off 24/7

I don't what exactly on rx7club you call out as a scammer but I know that I have been running a fever yesterday and the day before at night. Didn't go to work yesterday or today and went to doctor and he told me that I have a walking ammonia. I think regardless of what you think or are it is the least of my problems right now. Finally I told you that my account on paypal has been put in limited. I haven't seen your money or touched your money. If you want do a chargeback for your money and I send you the hood COD I have no problems with that. I just can't do anything right now until I feel better.

no reply yet and has been 2 weeks,
filed paypal dispute, went to claim, he has until july 20th to reply

and just for my preference, anyone here filed a claim and actually got their money back?
this current situation worries me and wonder if i should have any hope of paypal payin me back or me findin out where he lives

From what I see, you paid him for a Seibon hood and you never received it? You're in Canada, too, which throws the whole customs thing into play. If he did ship it, there is the possibility still that it's held up at the border. Then again, if you wait to see if it does show up, you miss your window of opportunity to file a claim. That's one reason I'd never sell to anyone in another country...too many things can go wrong. Hope you get your part or your money.

 

i never got a trackin number, so its not shipped, customs isnt too bad, as i have bought plenty of other things from states, the custom just like to charge you more money when it gets to your house

Not in person but I talk to him several times since I joined this club. He got scammed by another member so I guess he think it's his turn to take advantage of a new member. I hope he man up and refund your money.

 

From what I remember, a few other members have had problems with him in the past, so this doesnt surprise me. I remember he had issues with Rotorsports Racing, and it seemed to me that he was a total pain to deal with, certainly not anyone I'd ever do business with.

 

I believe he had a issue with one of the mods on here, but they finally got a refund. Next time Zhe buy a hood from a well known member or a proper aftermarket supplier

Zhe, I think the prob could be this (I had this experience my self, trying to buy hood from the us side):

The ups or fedex or usps does not qoute the shipping (via website) of the hood correctly. In my case I was qouted for around $300, but when the seller brought the hood to the actuall store the shipping cost either $500 and up or the shipping company does not even want to ship such a large and akward shape item.

I think the seller require to make a crate, which add significant weight to the shipping cost.
