Problem with 87GTR regarding shipping on parts that are paid for

I have been buying parts on yahoo auctions and have payed for all my parts. The problem is that he does not respond to my PMs. Some of the parts havent showed up due to the tsunami the seat and the cluster. I will wait until I deal with him on that issue (ie. refund from shipping company).

I have asked for him to give me a shipping quote so I can get the parts over here. I have about over $700 worth of parts with him and want to get it over. I am willing to spend money for shipping but noresponse . I bought some FD parts, clothes, and Japanese car brochures.

Two parts haven't showed up and they are the miata cluster and the mazdaspeed seat. I am waiting for the refund for these since they were lost in the tsunami. He told me that it would be 90-120 days for them to send the money to him. I have got no response

I bought these parts via a brokering service.

Here is my paypal payments. You can see how much money I have spent. If I dont get these items soon. I will request all this money be refunded until the issue has been resolved.

He has been 'ignoring' me for over a month. I would appreciate if he sent a PM saying he was busy but nothing. I even put a note on his profile page.
a month? your pm to me was 2 days ago june 7

I didnt get around to answering all pm from the last week yet.

I still have not gotten the refund for your parts that got lost and I am working on it.

You had me bid on a bunch of parts on yahoo auctions then after the bidding you said ohhhhhhh I didnt have enough money to pay you for them or after I bid on them ( i didnt see that they where damaged and now I dont want them.). And I eneded up getting bad feed back on yahoo auctions. because I neither have the extra money to buy those parts or know if you going to come threw and pay up.

I will send you out the parts that i have here. The only item I cant ship is the side skirts, They are too large to ship in the post office so tell me what you want to do with them?

I have last heard from you exactly one month ago I meant.

I am glad you responded to this thread. I appoligised about the coilovers you made it seem like the sellers didn't have a problem with you backing out of the bid. I have the PM. I am sorry that happened to you regarding your feedback.

Message sent 4/10 regarding coilovers.

I have side skirts at home and will upload them later today too

As for the side skirts, you said the can't be shipped since the are too large. Is cutting them a solution? Pref to have something that is small and cuts straight like a hacksaw.

Also I don't want to paint 87GTR as a bad seller. He has been helpful and until recently been responsive and great.

Evopanda, I've copied some of our PM exchange. Please see below

Assuming you are going to wait for the shipping company to refund 87GTR for your lost parts...

I think that goes without saying that he would owe you the difference if the shipping refund is going to be more than the cost of shipping the remaining parts. ~$700 minus the cost of shipping to the US, correct? You two will have to handle the exact US dollar value of 64522 yen (17200 + 47322), as the exchange rate changes. But the tsunami is not exactly his fault, so if you were wanting that balance fronted to you, I don't think that's in the cards. He's already paid that money to the first shipping company, so the refund would have to happen first.

1 efini jacket 6000 yen + 3200 yen shipping
1 car pamphlet 3500 yen
1 knightsports side skirts 13200 yen
The total amount I sent to him was $1302 usd.

I have not payed for shipping costs(to the USA) for the above items. He currently has all the items besides the cluster and seat since they were lost in the tsunami when it was in route to 87GTR from the sellers on yahoo auctions.

He has had the ads and jacket as of 5-8-11.
Rims arrived on 3-2-11
Side skirts arrived on 3-28-11
All these are approxamite since I dont know the exact date he recieved it. But these are dates he responded saying that he had these items in his possession if that makes sense.

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. If you haven't paid for shipping to the US, you're going to need to before he can ship them out.

The lost items matter is complicated, but if you are wanting to wait for a refund from the first shipping company to use that money for shipping to the US, it only makes sense that you'll have to wait on your items.

The side skirts are too large to ship in the post office.

I am still working on the refunds. but the shipping company is not paying how much the claim was. They are only paying what they feel the value is. So Im not sure how much a used car seat and speed meter will be worth. I have an appointment on aug 12th with claims adjuster the shipping company of the seat.

87GTR is catching up. Seems like he's had a series of unfortunate events happen lately. He is by no means out to get anyone. He is making things right and getting back up to speed on everything including parts that I bought from him.

87GTR has been very good to me. I have lost my cool about this situation(once or twice) because the situation sucks<doesnt make it right for me to lose my cool though>. But I think he is doing the best he can and I am trying to make light of a bad situation.

Response from 87GTR: I was told that he met with them and is waiting for the refund. I will wait.

P.S. The parts that were lost dont mean much to me now. I am not making a sports car for the roads so the seats would have been swapped(my FD will be track/meet/carshow only). I am getting race seats specific seats (ie carbon fiber seats).

The Miata cluster is not needed now because I dont own one anymore. Got a more convenient sports car.

well you could start a new thread with the hate on him, you know, since it's not that he has anything else to worry about with japan breaking into small bits into the ocean over this last year or anything...

you obviously don't read. Payments were sent WAY before tsunami happened. I asked him couple times about my parts and he said its shipped. The very last time he said the items were shipped was July 23rd. (7months from my very first payment to him). I had not bother him ever since, but time tells that OBVIOUSLY my parts were not shipped since it has been another 3months, and I still have not received a thing.

I am here to resolve problems. If you have nothing better to say please don't waste the forum's memory. No point of starting a NEW THREAD regarding the same issues.

There is no hate or anything. I ain't complaining as well, just concerned that I still haven't gotten my items after another 3months of waiting. There's not even tracking number or anything that was sent to me.

Dude you honestly dont have them yet? I shipped all the stuff as soon as the Canada postal strike was over. I will hit up the Japanese post office on Friday this week cause I have the day off.

I will make sure you got your parts.
