Mike7 ripped me off for $900.00

I sent $900 on Nov 22 for a Microtek system for my son and have got nothing but BS excuses ( oh, my girlfriend sent it to the wrong address) and absolutely nothing in the mail and no responses recently. I see that I'm not the only one who got ripped off by this jerk. My son, the buyer of the system works two jobs to make ends meet and been saving for months to by a Microtek and then gets ripped off by this jackass.

Way to go Mike 7, you should be proud!!

Wow man.. I'm sorry to hear about that.. I talked with Mike7 a few times and bought some parts from him here locally. Never really struck me as the type of guy to rip anyone off.. I havn't seen him active on any of the local boards recently.. I'll try to see if I can get a hold of him and maybe try to help you out in gettin your system or your money back..

I've learned from bad apples in my own town that people who scam like this, typically don't scam to people who can drive over and "collect" the debt. Typically they scam victims hundreds or thousands of miles away, a true sign of cowardice.

Again we need more information. Exactly when did you purchase this item? How was it paid for? When was the last time you heard from him? Do you have a link to the for sale thread.

By the way the last time he was on was 12-1-07
Pm me with any personal info you have such as paypal account, current email, etc.. Then I can start my investigation to see what is going on.

Have you tried placing a claim thru Paypal to get your money back. There is also a website ran by the federal government regarding these types of transaction fraud. Similar thing happened to me and I filed a complaint thru that website and got my money in 2 weeks.
Good luck.

I sent the stuff back to mike and now he won't give me the money back. PayPal won't re-open a closed dispute case so my son is out $900. That sucks considering he washes cars for money and attends college, $900 is a shi#load of money for him.

Any help here????

paypal wont help anyways because they dont care what was sent--as long as he sent something. It could have been an empty box--they dont care at that point and wont do anything to help.

Honestly, legal action might be your best bet.

Out of interest was it paid into paypal via a credit card. If so get them to take action. Over here if you spend over £100 ($200) you get payment insurance and they will help you get the money back.

Sorry to hear this, this kind of thing is always terrible. Hope you get the money back.

I see..... **** man.. Sorry to hear that.... I just picked up a tps and it doesn't work..... He's fucked me over twice now.... I say beware me him for sure.....

Ps my two bents with paypal is that i've never once had a problem getting a refund...You can't just open a new dispute? I'll give him a call tomorrow because i still have to get my money back. Good thing my day off is tomorrow..... I know what your son is feeling... Except i'm not in school, never had my dad, and don't have money to really even get my car running for more than a week... That and i've been living off a 800 check for 6 almost 7 weeks now... Sorry to hear about this.

yep hes still moderating, you might try sending him a pm letting him know what the story is at this point and see if theres anything he could do to help you out. Don't think there is anything paypal would do anyway, as another person posted, once he sent out a tracking number paypal could care less the condition etc of what was sent unless it was an ebay purchase.

Sorry to hear about this mess, hope something gets worked out for you soon.

Anyone ever try to get a hold of him at this email-
michael.montes@ramstein.af.mil
If he is in the military then get a hold of his CO at the base. They will take care of the matter.

you can contact the local authorities and call paypal directly and if you used a credit card you may be entitled to use it to cancel the payment, that should get paypal to wake up.

good luck.

I FAWKING HATE sellers like that, I got totally hosed on an engine years ago from some asshat in Cali with all of the perfect excuses to let the process take forfuckingever and only when I yanked the money out thru paypal did he finally answer calls and send the item.

best of luck man.
