james has apologized for my involvement and indicated that my name only came up as record for the previous owner..
not as means to implicate me as the person that needed to be held accountable for the issues..

as far as the motor.. compression test peaked @ 115psi front and 90psi rear at the time of purchase back in 07...
james daily'd her for a time frame without issue while he worked on his other fc ..
I've known james for a very long time, and i've known amp for a fairly large amount of time.

Unfortunately for james I have to say amp is being truthful here. Amp even explained the car would most likely need a rebuild soon at time of sale back in '07.

Not to have james feel like im betraying him but i think this is awful, selling someone a car without full disclosure is bullshit in my personal opinion, when i sell anything i try to make sure all problems, if there are any, are 100% known. So seeing that he sold this car without full disclosure is bullshit. I sold a crappy 88 n/a to a forum member for $600 and told him everything i knew and he understood and still bought the car and eventually stripped and sold it. Thats how this deal *should* have went if the seller was mature and not just looking for quick money at someone else's expense.

James is also a former mazda tech, car has been looked at in the dealer on the lift. Rusted floor was well-known by him and all of us at the shop and future engine rebuild was "assumed" never did comp. test since you could tell by the sound out of the exhaust.

Please no one confuse his name on here with mine, i have been an avid rx7 fan/driver/forum member for many years, well before he got his first fc and I'm not looking to have my name tarnished over this. Also the fact that he even tried to put any blame on amp infuriates me, i consider amp/jio a VERY good personal friend of mine and I was the one that connected amp and james for the sale of this car, now amp's name almost gets dirty, so to amp i apologize.

Kevin.

You know the guy and you think its bullshit..I agree 100%, why not nudge your friend "James" to do the right thing and give some funds back to the buyer? Talk is cheap!

goes to show you really dont know people, everyone thinks because we all chat it up that people will do the right thing, I guess not.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I could not believe he would do something like this.

Live and learn.

Tough times, lack of employment/income etc can really change things.

Not saying this is the case here, I don't know James, although Kevin is a good customer of our (mine and Ihor's) shop.

In all cases, buyer beware. Placing blind trust in people will usually get you a black eye.....

I cant exactly go into his wallet...I would if i could, personally i haven't seen him since we went for a short cruise a couple months ago.

but like rob said, you think you know someone, just goes to prove the internet is good at disguising things.

I was not asking you to "go into his wallet" but maybe something like "hey bro that was pretty raw of you to do to that guy on the rx-7 club why not make it right?" Like I said you can nudge the guy a little since you do know him and you feel the seller is at fault. The problem here is that everyone always forgets the most important rule...its called "steet justice" all the laws in the world cant protect you from that, this guy really does not know who he screwed over, could be a guy that would hunt him till he drops. See I would have been at his door step by now, free trip to NY, free but rusty car to boot..to say the least!

well its ok guys no worries, I am a lil over it.

I cant do anything to him legaly as of now because I have bigger fish to fry like deploying soon to AFGHANISTAN. Unfortunately I trust an INSURGENT more than I do 75% of the rotary community NOW because of James.

Its BS but hey what comes around goes around. He is the key holder of his fate in this hobby. Seriously if it was any other car related hobby it would be hard to find someone but in a small yet very known community in the rotary business he just stepped in the wrong toes.

I am well known in the hispanic rotary scene mainly because I roll with a big name like KILO RACING so when someone screws over another in the east side of the country justice will be paid.

James dont go to no hispanic ran shops in NY or NJ. Your car will not be welcomed! All I can say is thank you guys who have put in your two cents in my thread. Those of you who know me , know what kind of person I am. Lets just let this go because he isnt doing the right thing and I am not going to beg the bastard.

Sucks that all the stuff I had planned will be put on hold due to my military duties but its all good once i get back , I might not even start with this t2 as a solid platform for my next build.

man thats total bs. its one thing to lie on ebay, its also one thing to lie in person when someone is face to face with you. lieing on here about something, now that is wrong. we all stand up for echother, hell people have shipped me free parts when i was in need. the people on here are a comunity. if you where stuck 300 miles away from home and texting to this site looking for a gasket, or something we would get it to you one way or another. now you just BLEW it.... good job

hope we never hear from you agian we are better off without you

I have bought from quite a few people on here who sent me garbage parts claiming to be good parts, when it comes to money people do what they want to do- not everyone on here is your brother.

That is a shame. Luckily I have never had that experience. Worse I get is slight cosmetic damaged The one time I got unacceptable damaged (poorly shipped seats) a partial refund was issued ASAP. So far, I make it a policy to at least have the phone number of the person Im buying from and have at least one conversation. Lately I have been slacking on that but I havent been screwed with so far. I know its hard but try not to look to badly upon us Rob.
