I'm posting this just to let people know that jef57 might be a bad guy.

He has sold stuff to me, herblenny, and kempo.

We're currently trying to communicate with him and I have not heard from him. Maybe the other guys but not me.

I'm currently in dispute with PayPal and am waiting for his reply.

If I or we don't hear from him soon, we're going to try and get our money back.

Again, this is just a heads up. I want to post this here just in case someone else hear's from him. If you do, please let us know when he contacted you.

I can't say right now if jef57 is a good guy or bad guy, just that he's not communicating after sending money and I'm concerned since it's all the way from France.

 

Can you list the specific details? If I am not mistaken this was for the steering wheel correct? I know phil paid him then someone else chimed in and said they had paid him also. Was there more too it such as waiting on different parts or did all three of you pay him for the same part? Regardless I hope you all get it worked out in your favor with the part/s or your money back.

I paid for the Apex'i PowerFC.

I believe Kempo and Herblenny paid for the wheel and received the same message from jef57.

I hope I get my PFC or my money back.

Making me begin to dislike France all because of this guy...

Just bothers me that he's all the way overseas.

If he doesn't send me the Apex'i PFC or refunds my money, they'll be crap to pay for this. Guaranteed!

 

Sent him a PM tonight, I prefer to go privately first. If no response in a couple of days I will go public on the forum so that people back here know about. he's been quite active selling parts there too.

I'd go ahead and at least mention on your forum that there could possibly be a problem with this guy and reference this thread. Might help keep any of you frenchies from getting burned and if you say it in a nice way like "Potentially" could be a bad seller than I don't see where the seller could get upset about that should he turn out ok since it is him that has dropped contact.

And by the way a couple of people there testified that they had really no issue with their purchase. Fast shipment and good quality.

Jef57 also came and explained that the shipment lead time can be really long between France and the US, which I agree with, it usually takes like 3 weeks or more if you use "normal" shipment price.

I would not worry too much now if I were you, I think you will receive your stuffs, be patient.

I think I didn't make myself a friend there not minding my own business.

 

Oliv, please tell jef57 to come on this forum and give an update to these guys. What's doing right now (nothing) is unacceptable......

 

I did and he told that he had replied to everyone by PM.
I also advised him to come and communicate on this very thread.

Again, nothing but good feedback over there.

However, jef57 hasn't contacted me at all via PM or email.

He has yet to respond to the PayPal dispute. For me, all he had to do was give me a shipping tracking number to verify that he shipped it out. That's all but he didn't do that.

I even said in the dispute to give me a receipt of the shipment he paid for. Nothing.

Again, thanks for helping as much as you can. I'm tempted to join the rx7 france site just to say something about this guy but I'm going to wait a little longer.

Anyhow, I'm hoping he comes thru and get the parts. As of now we are waiting on his response and paypal is about to reverse the payment (I say in 7 days or so). But if the part shows up, I will cancel the dispute.

In his last PM he said that he had sent my wheel that day and that he would sell another one to the other buyer (phil). He sent the exact same PM to Phil. He never sent a tracking # as requested or replied to any other PM, e mail or pay pal dispute. He has not logged to this forum since that same date. Here is copy of his PMs to me:

Geez! I got the same thing from Paypal!

I'm getting pissed!! Its been over 15 days since it was shipped out.. I'm going to give another week and after that, I'm going to raise hell!!

I'm also going to call my CC to reverse the payment and see what they will do.

Your cc company can probley take care of you, I've reversed charges twice on bad ebay listings where there were no funds in the persons account after paypal found in my favor.

Of course that probley depends on what bank your card is through, but mine I called them up explained the situation and next day had a credit on the card.

Thats because the FORUM block the GOOD sellers that have a GOOD rep from selling...It is only going to get worse..

 

I specifically used my CitiCard.. They better reverse it or they will loose me as their customer

I called my CC but they are having some computer issues.. I'm calling tomorrow morning.

I'm still hoping it will come in in next couple of weeks though.. Its weird how this guy completely stop getting on this forum..
