Japan2La scammed me out of 2100$

I posted a add wanting a short/longblock and somebody reccomended him, so I Pmed him and he said he could sell me one for around 2100. here is the first Pm after I asked if he had one.

Shipping is $278.00

terminal [pick-up] less than 20 miles from your zip code..

These engines have not been sitting, I buy complete running cars in Japan and then pull the engine.

Was in a running car less 45 days ago..

I send payment on 9/05/12 and Have gotten nothing but bullshit one liner responses from him reguarding shipping promising that it will be there the next day and he will email me the shipping number. I really need my money back so I can get this project back on the road, this is complete and utter bullshit.

Wow. Two threads against Brian so close together? You are getting the BS I got from him. He gave me the run forever, then he gave me a tracking number that was two years old to buy himself some time. He may do well by some people, but I consider him to be a shifty douche.

I finally got my motor. I just had to deal with being given misinformation and being told untruths repeatedly.

How many times is this going to be allowed to happen with Brian? Has he helped a lot of people? Yes. Has he shafted several/a lot of members as well? Yes. He can be hell to deal with, bunch of broken promises on not only time lines but product you receive as well. But hey, he packages the shitty parts well, or refunds you just enough to most the time not go public with the PITA he is to deal with.

I'm glad you"ll receive your money back.
Keep in mind you can dispute the Charges with your credit card for an Item you paid and no received. The credit card can help too.
Personally I learn my lesson is not to deal with anyone that deal with cash only.

He'll only get his money back from paypal if there is the money in Japan2LA's account to cover it. If not he can try a back charge with his credit card company if that was used to fund the paypal transaction.

An eCheck payment from Brian Galloway was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 business days. It then usually takes 3-5 days for the money to be deposited into your account. Please do not ship items until you receive payment.

god damnit this is ******* bullshit

As a member that has had bad dealings with Mr Galloway, can we please let these last couple of incidents be the last he'll ever be able to cause? The initial part of Dan's deal is bad enough, but to have to deal with a bogus refund as well?

It has been our usual practice to not ban someone at first, to give them a chance to resolve things. Clearly at this point, that isnt going to happen. Effective now, he is banned. Please keep me updated on paypal disputes/refunds, etc. or any other dealings with him that any of you have.

I was supposed to have an alternator and tps shipped out by Mr Japan2LA Monday. Tracking was supposed to be provided. I sent him a pm Thursday afternoon and received no response. Now that he is banned, I opened a paypal dispute requesting a tracking number.

My experience with Mr Japan2LA has been both positive and negative.

I recently received a uim and tb in good shape, arriving in reasonable time. I swore that I would never order from him again, but decided to give him another chance because I am stupid.

In the past, I've ordered a resurfaced flywheel from him needed to finish my girlfriends rebuild. After excuses of why I didn't receive it, he refunded me the money and I ordered one from atkins.

I've ordered irons from him needed for my girlfriends rebuild. After waiting and then finally requesting a tracking number, he told me that his warehouse employee must of sold them on me. He offered a set of lapped irons for me at the same price. Well, they must of been coated to fill the wear instead of lapped and then coated. It's the only explanation I have. There was endplay. I made sure of it because that was the initial death of the engine from the previous owner/rebuilder when we bought the car. Japan2LA's irons had corner seal race track after a minute of run time.

I just received a full refund for my purchase. No note, no excuses. I guess that means that he never mailed my order, nor did he intend to. But at least I received a refund.

@MazdaSpeedDan any update on your refund?
