yep...just reading these 2 threads...it just seems like an attitude problem. Nothing seems to be handled professionally, there's an excuse for everything (such as an excuse for calling a buyer names because they "pissed me off"). It just seems like the prevailing attitude is that he's doing buyers a favor, and that he has forgotten that he's getting paid for his services....but this is just my impression from reading these threads. I don't know japan2la personally. I really don't think it coincidence that so many threads are started about you japan2la....logic says there's a reason for them, but as long as excuses are made for those reasons, you'll just continue to get these complaints.

MY LAST POST IN THIS THREAD:
This comment will probally make the haters here more angry:

I agree with you guys... If after reading all this B.S. makes you feel like I have a terrible attitude then stay away.. As these are the same people I would rather not do business with. The feeling are VERY mutual.

If you contact me for parts and I get the feeling you are not the type of person I want to deal with I will tell you to find another source.. I do it all the time...

Lastly, I would like to thank all of the memebers here who spoke up in me defense. I do appreciate it...

I wouldn't. Quite a few months back I was in a pinch and needed front Hubs for my FC. I contacted Brian and he bent over backwards for me. That same day he stood in line on a sunday afternoon at the post office with a 50LB box to overnight to me.

Thanks Brian!

Not to put you on the spot light, but to me that's not "bending over backwards" one bit, just a guy trying to get paid for a service he offers..

The guy sees a possible sale, you make your demands, he reads them over willing to see if he has any spare time or anything planned that day. Finds out he doesn't have anything planned and agrees to do it as long as YOU are paying for the extra charge of overnight shipping and he is getting his money, right? - I'd do the exact same thing if I had the day open because that would just mean I'd get my money quicker!

I have bought things from people on this forum and from reputable people on eBay and let me tell you a little bit about what I think is "bending over backwards":

- Traveling a 260 mile round trip to get me a better shipping quote on an Engine.

- Paying FREE EXPRESS shipping on a freight item(you have any idea how much that must have cost?) because the item arrived "slightly" damaged.

- Calling up a person and saying I had an idea regarding some connector plates I needed, he fabricated them and sent them out that same day via express shipping at no cost.

From a "possible" client's point of view, I'd say, the guy needs to work on those attitude and communication problems. People with great attitudes succeed on this forum, just look at Ramy (FDNewbie).

Well then, you won't have an excuse for not shipping stuff out on weekends, unless you were busy at the post office bending over.

This was a while ago but IIRC the hubs were still on a front clip. They had to be removed the same day and Brian was busy, but I persuaded him to do it.

Sorry buddy, SUNDAY shipping is not a service I offer. I ship 95% of all parts out M-F like normal shops do.. This guy needed the stuff in a rush and I did SUNDAY shipping for him as a favor. I did not ask him to pay me more money or extra money for rush shipping. I did it to help a fellow member out...plain a simple. Why you dont understand this fact is strange to me.. I know of no other shop that can even offer Sunday shipping as until recently none of you people even knew that some post offices are open on SUNDAYS

Also you should know what you are talking about before you post. The US POSTAL SERVICE USED to be a goverment owned and ran COMPANY...KEY WORD: USED TO BE.... Goverment Companies are susidized by federal or state tax dollars...this is not true about the US POSTAL SERVICE...USPS is no longer ran buy the US GOVERMENT.. and this has been the case for a LONG TIME NOW.... Research it yourself if you dont believe..

Why should it be strange to you? The fact that you did THAT is a mystery in all "our" books. For other people, you wouldn't even take pictures of certain parts of an engine in decent light, for example. This didn't cause you to drive out to the post office, wait in line, take 1 hour tops out of your super-busy schedule - simply turn on a light, stand steady, and take a picture.

So you ask again why this is strange to me? ^ There's your answer.

My mistake for thinking it was ran by the government. Reason I thought that is because they "operate" much like it. From the tests they give their employees to the way they handle every "American Holiday" - no government agency (other than security personnel) operate on Sunday's, that I am aware of.

You, NEEDFD (aka. Ryan), Insomniac, JIC (I think thats Ryan too) must all be real good buddies.. If you go back to the thread Ryan started about me you will see overwhelming support to the fact the pics I sent were sufficient. Yes My camera is a POS and they where darker than I like but they where sufficient.. I ran out of patients with him and all the hoops he wanted me to jump thru... Plus I was holding those motors for him after a LONG back and forth PM/Emails for over 1 month... People do what he did to me all the time and I was sick of it.

Luckily another SERIOUS buyer purchased both motors...but only after I even gave him one last chance and did not follow thru... Plus during this time period he kept saying " I am ready to buy, just waiting on pictures"

I dont like my time wasted... and then after wasting my time he comes here and starts a GGBG thread against me... Why??? I will tell you.. DONE IN SPITE.. because I told him to find another source..

That was bullshit... and here he is again still talking ****..

I am tired of this...

LMAO!! are you seriously trying to call him out?? What kind of a business are you running here?? I've been reading this thread for the past few days and havn't said a word because i've got nothing against you, but you seriously crossed the line trying to be a hardass calling people out.

For your business' and your own protection, i would think twice about calling people out that you don't know, especially if you are not familiar with the areas... If not, you better backup everything you say.

I will post my dealings with Brian. As some know from my T56 thread, I kept breaking tranny's, so I figured I would try one of his. He said it was his best looking one there, we agreed on a price, sent payment, gave me the shipping number and shipped it to me no problems. I put the tranny in and had a 5th gear syncho blocker ring broken. I told him about it, he offered to pay for the broken part replacement. He then offered to send another tranny out at a discount, I sent payment, but then the communcation went downhill from there.

I got him on the phone one time and he said he shipped it out monday and it would be here friday. Ok, so the week goes by and I do not hear from him and no shipping number for me to go pick up the tranny, nor does he return my phone calls. Finally I got a response from him saying the shipping truck never picked it up to send out to me and that he would personally get it out that night. Well I never got a confirmation shipping number like I had before and monday I had just made the decision to get a refund on my synchro and money for the next tranny since I figured I wouldnt see it.

He said he was a very busy person and couldnt always get back to the person, so in my mind, it added up that he just didnt get around to it but... I wish he would have just let me know up front that he was too busy to ship it that week and kept up the communication. He did refund my money plus the cost of the synchro. I am a technician, so the labor I didnt have to pay for, but someone else would have had to pay for the labor.

All in all, the only complaint I had was the communication upkeep. However he never got rude or disrespectful with me, but then again, I wasnt rude to him, just persistant.

And Brian, that post about you wanting to meet up with the other forum member to see how tough they are, that is not going to get you anything but flamed, esp being a adult.
