Angry Issues with user Tatakai

I purchased an ACT Xact flywheel from Tatakai for $130 shipped and payment was made on 04/11/2012. Here is the pm

I requested tracking information about the flywheel and the only reply I received was 04/13/2012 was

"yes its been shipped, sorry been kind of swamped with work, i left the tracking number there. i'll get it to you first thing in the AM"

I have made multiple request for the shipping information with no replies. He's been logged into the forum multiple times and just ignores the request. He's not even man enough to respond to any of the pm's I've sent.

Take my advice don't send him any money.

Tatakai, I either want a refund or send the flywheel and provide the tracking number.

Hi Donald! I understand your frustration...no one likes to be scammed. Fortunately RX7 Club has a great staff (I am not one of them) who will look into your issue and get things sorted out.

That being said, and once again being sensitive to how you must be feeling at the moment, one of the rules of this section is that you cannot directly call another member out as a scammer. You may want to take a moment to read the stickies at the top of the page so you yourself don't run into any issues.

I'm sure your situation will get taken care of, I've been there too. Good luck.

Hiya Donald,

I agree, its hard to deal with folks that do not communicate, however it is a little bit premature at only 13 days past payment to call someone out as a scammer. More times than not, these things can be resolved with a little push in the right direction. I am going to send a PM to this member and ask him to weigh in on the situation here. Please be patient, and lets see what we can find out.

EDIT--I changed the thread title to reflect the above comments. Also, if he does not respond to PMs, I have located an alternate method of contact that I will try.

If I had received a simple response to my requests for an update, then I would not feel the way I do. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

This seller is now banned, thanks to his refusal to tell the truth, and his repeated refusal to even respond to mods or to his buyer. Please let us know what paypal tells you, thanks.

Seller was using another members Paypal. I am in message with that member and he claims the item was shipped and gave me a tracking number. I am still skeptical. Although he claims he can refund your money and has replied to your Paypal claims.

He did provide a tracking number to the buyer, but the tracking number was originated on 4/25, a couple weeks after he actually claimed he had shipped it out. Also, its a USPS tracking number, so it shows up as only being electronically assigned, and does not show that a package was actually received by USPS to ship out. But it is USPS tracking, and their tracking often doesnt even show that the package was received by the USPS for shipping until after it is delivered to the buyer. Perhaps you two should compare tracking numbers to see if it is the same or not. It probably is, but never hurts to check.

Hello all. The tracking numbers are indeed different, I checked that when I got them from him.

I too think it's weird that your tracking number is not updating in a timely manner, like the other one did instantly. (Had an ETA and such.)

I am not familiar with usps's tracking system but I suspect it is flakey. I am the owner of the pay pal account I let him use, and if you do not receive good quite soon I will just refund you. I feel like I should refund you guys for all the drama he caused anyways. I have been on your side on these kinda deals before and they are no fun, especially when your build is waiting on that one part. :/

Hopefully things will all be cleared up soon. I will be meeting him face to face this weekend.

Sorry for all the issues and drama, I hope you get your parts soon.

Just curious, since you own the paypal account and the email address, then why didn't I get a reply from you when I sent an email on April 21, 2012 to the requesting tracking information? Why didn't you explain that he was using your paypal account?

That is not the e-mail address I use any more. That is a paypal business account and e-mail I had for a game server hosting company I had before college, about.... 6 or 7 years ago, about the same time I made my rx7club account, 2006. XD

NEW tracking number for the one that was frozen.

0305 0830 0003 0404 8642

I haven't got the full details on why the other one was frozen, he said something about the box being wrong, I don't know, sounds like excuses. O.o But it says it should be there on the 7th. At least that's good.

Honestly, let's just wait and see if the box contains the actual ACT flywheel that he claimed. He claimed it was a new flywheel.

Roller,
I'm sending you a pm. Thanks,

I just wanted to give an update. I received the package today and it was in fact the ACT flywheel which I purchased so the last tracking number that Tweakgames provided was accurate. A VERY BIG Thank You to all who helped assist in this issue. Again, thank you very much to all who assisted.

Looks like the other person said they received their package also, but forgot to close the claim. Hopefully they will soon, and this can be done with.
