i only put it here because i wanted everyone to see this and not trust this guy until we worked out our problem.

The turbos are different, i knew that already. See this is what happened thats why i knew i should have backed out of it but he seemed like a honest dude. He sold me the kit with the blown turbo and said he didnt know it was blown until he really looked at it. When he saw that it was blown he went and bought another AF61R and sent that to me instaed. When he told me he was doing that i was like wow dude i really appreciate that. So its a different turbo, i started bitching about it though because what looks to be hot coolant all over the actual turbo and dripped down on the inside of it as well turned out to be some sort of engine cleaner that spilled on the turbo. Once i found that out that eased my mind a bit. But I still wish he would have told me about the manifold and wastegate situation along with the no down pipe situation as well. And no i only saw pictures of the Turbo and down pipe. he sent me pictures of it on the car. The one that Fdeeznutz just posted is one of the pics that i got. I just wanted everyone to be aware so i put it here first.

Heres what to do!

Ring him up/email him and be civil, theres no need to fall out over this! Ask if you can meet up to discuss the issue and then,

Get some tennis grip and wrap it around the end of the manifold and then test the strenght of the weld job by repeatedly smacking him over the head with it..

Simple.

hey guy go and **** yourself how about that. I have every right to complain and bitch. you dont like it go post on someone elses ****, dang. I dont want a full refund, just a partial for a DP and wastgate is all. i'll deal with the rest on my own.

And no im not gonna beat him up either. i dont fight anymore and this is definitely not a reason to beat someone up. A nice man to man talk is all we need and it should be fine.

Not until you have tried to resolve the issue with the seller. Man up and realize that you are jumping the gun unless you've gotten the cold shoulder when trying to work it out with the seller.

So, let me say this too. Stop whining and work something out with the guy. He hasn't ripped you off yet and plenty of people have said that for the price, you got what you paid for. Maybe not what was advertized, you're right, but that's why you work it out with the seller...

Damn these threads move fast...
Well I hope everything is good.
Just so everyone knows.
Heres the Story, everything Im selling of my FD are from Boostin Fd (Amel)
I bought his car from St. Louis, and the next day the engine blew.
When I bought the car I had it taken to a local shop and they did a compression check, they said it was low(cant remember the numbers) but it was probably because of the rebuild(rotary ressurection), and everything had not settled yet. The car was tuned by stev kahn.
Well driving around town and gave it a little gas, a little boost not alot, because I was following the break in period.
Well, after some shitty noises, I noticed the engine was running crappy, and was Idling funny.
Just sitting the car would turn off, you had to keep it gased.
After contacting Amel, and being told it was my problem now I decided I was going to sell everything on the car, and try to do an LS1 swap.
So everything on the car is how it was, I have not done anything to the car...this is my first FD, Ive had several FC's and my first single turbo setup.
Im not trying to get over on anyone, thats not how I roll.
If someones not happy then i'll refund every penny, to easy, to damn easy.
As far as this situation, my wife sent my stuff while I was at work and forgot to put the downpipe in the box, so its on the way, Im working 12 hours a day now, and Im not on the computer every second, so thats why there was a delay in response.
Selling **** on the internet and your bound to run into issues because the lack of 100% understanding....my bad.
I also have an issue with a guy from canada, he told me to send him a profec I sent him, and put the declared value at $10, and not $100. Well it didnt happen it was sent with $100 declared value because Im not getting ripped on insurance, so he was pissed,
Like I said, if your not happy Ive always offered 100% full refund, To easy...
Gracias

Wow, sounds like the FD you bought was ghetto-rigged to the extreme. Any time an engine blows on breakin, the car has some serious problems.....

Yeah i think so to. me and Mike had a pretty lengthy conversation last night and it seems as if BoostNfd took him for a fucked up ride. He didnt even have the car for a week!

This is NOT your problem. It's up to you if you want to declare it properly because in the end you can still get screwed if you don't and the part gets damaged, lost, etc.

Anyways, hope you guys work everything out and GL with your FD.

Does anyone else see a trend with people from St. Louis and stealing/ scamming? Aren't some of the most notorious thieves/ scammers on this forum from St. Louis? Is it just me seeing this?

Yeah dude definitely let the Lawyers handle it. Get your mechanic involved and try to get something back from him. You wont get the entire thing back because you still have the car but you should be able to get a nice chunk back.
