So i paypal-ed this guy 400 for a apexi FMIC and the picture he sent me was of one that is now for sale on the 3rd gen parts section

need to post up more info such as when you bought it what sale ad was it through and what ad is it now being sold through, last contact with the person, etc

 

I'm assuming you filed a Paypal "dispute"? I agree post all the details here, it might help.

Turbro, filing a dispute is a good idea, but you can PM me if you want to really get this piece of trash scammer. A dispute will go in your favor but someone who scams like this needs some special attention, I think. I think we should take out the garbage.

 

This happened to a friend of mine on the Talon forums, he lost about $200.

"this is what you guys do if he has no money in his paypal account. you call paypal and tell me to have the buyers complaint department to review the case over. i had the same problem with another buyer when i bought some mugen wheels and he never shipped them out and withdraw all the money from his paypal account. so what they did is look over the case and paypal refunded the money to me and gave the seller a negative balance. so then they hand it over to the collectors and they take it from there. but then again i still got my money."

Wonder if that's worth trying?

Also, I've noticed lots of these guys with junior high screen names like 'ballah4lyfe' and 'aznjdmtunahfosho' tend to be scammers. Just a random fyi.

Well the PayPal claim was in my favor (obviously)... but they were unable recover my funds.

I still need my money and Im trying to see what I can do with my bank (Bank Of America).

This is my problem... I have to much trust in people thinking that people are good.

 

that sucks man, Bank of America is normally really good about refunds
