Unhappy Disappointed with jrod89fc3

I will start by saying that no money changed hands between us, so I won't call him a bad seller. Just a complete flake.

I have been chasing down a clean s5 front bumper for a while now. I saw his FS thread (https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ight=jrod89fc3) and contacted him about a bumper he had pictured, but not listed. We had a few corrispondences, but each time he gave the impression that he didn't remember me. Weird.
After not getting anywhere with him, he posts in my "wanted" thread (https://www.rx7club.com/ne-sale-wanted-classifieds-196/li-area%7Ewanted-s5-fc-front-bumper-774270/) for the same item. I reopend a line of communication with him, and informed him I needed a shipping price or an exact location for possible pickup. He dragged his feet on getting a shipping quote but told me what town he lived in.
Coincidently, I made plans in the meentime to drive to his general area (from eastern Long Island, N.Y. to western Connecticut) to visit family. He said he wouldn't have a problem delivering the bumper to where I was staying.
Great!

We made arrangments to meet early saturday morning........no show.
I call him late morning to find out what happened. He said he got hung up but would arrive between 3 and 5 that afternoon.
I changed my plans and waited.........again, no show.
Now, here it is monday morning, and I still haven't heard anything from him. No explaination, no apology, nothing. Total flake out.

If this is how he conducts business "face-to-face", then I can't imagine how poorly it would have went if I sent him money and wanted an item shipped.

Just a word to the wise.

Regards,

Dealt with him locally, bought a diff from me, shot the ****. Seemed like a really cool guy.

Will be doing business with him again.

He drove up when he said he would, had what he said he had so it all worked out as planned and intended.
