Beware of Bad seller - JiteshTII - Jitesh Mistry

This is LONG overdue, but I finally had some time to gather the info to actually make this a worthy post but read that I wasn't supposed to include any personal info. Doh...

I paid for some FEED Combo lights from him and never received them.

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-rx-7-1993-2002-parts-99/fs-feed-combination-lights-foglights-sidelights-255usd-shipped-london-uk-809168/

As apparent in the FS thread, you can see that he is not very trustworthy as another member waited months to receive a $2k+ item.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON

To add more information:

Seats that took him MONTHS for the buyer to recieve without much of any updates to the sale thread itself. The buyer of these seats had to contact him constantly for before the seats arrived.

Now, on another forum. (Hope this is okay to post)
http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forum...t=60808&page=2
He has been slow to update people despite getting good reviews from others about being a good seller. Perhaps he just sells what he wants and disappears with the money once he has garnered some positive feedback. Though, he does seem extremely active on that forum. Perhaps someone from the UK that visits this forum can lend some further assistance by asking him directly to help resolve this issue. A refund from him would be nice and I wouldnt mind sending some funding to anyone that can help me.

Ugh... I should have posted all of this sooner. I hate to think that he has screwed over more people.

Quick update. I have sent emails to his more current email address to see if its possible to get some sort of refund from him as he has become active again on the Mazda Rotary Club forum. I also sent an email to the admins of the site to get some leverage to hopefully stop his scamming.

Dealing with the aftermath of a scammer is so annoying.

Supernaut: No, not yet.

Harris2182: Its the same number Ive had for him since this all started. Thanks though!

Update : He has emailed me back finally and wants to resolve this. He has offered to speak over the phone but is weary that he wont have any proof of shipping these items to me because he "lost access to my last email address due to a disgruntled former import partner in the UK who took the liberty of changing my password" and he "often clear out excess paperwork"

So, yeah....

It seems like he has stopped sending me emails. In short, he was going to offer a portion of my payment in return instead of payment in full as I requested. I declined, as I should deserve a full payment especially since I had to wait months to get replies from him and since he is so "concerned" about being a good seller.

Instead, he offered a new set of lights from a car he was shipping in from Japan. If I was already waiting that long for the lights, I might as well wait a little longer instead of taking a portion of my payment back. All of his references seemed to check out okay, so why not; right? The shipment has been taking longer and longer. It was first mid July. Then I received an update that it would be end of September. Now, I cant even get a response from him VIA email.

This is getting tiresome. The Mods on the UK forum arent replying back to me either.

Anyone in the UK know this guy personally and can talk to him for me? I am a reasonable person, I just want my lights or my money back in full.

Hope you sort it all out.

I can't help in any way as..

1) I don't have his number or contact details.
2) i'm not a very active member of the uk community at the moment.

I have met him in person and have bought fd related stuff in person (and through postal service) and he's been fine so far.

Maybe you should make a new thread on Fduk and MRC?

Good luck!

I'd just say that I've known the vendor in question for years and have dealt with him many times and I'd vouch for him as a normally scrupulous and honest trader. I know that at the time you were first posting he did genuinely have problems with computer access to his records and such, and was having problems with his importer. Not that I'm saying that excuses sloppy practises, and it's worth nothing how many people come forward to vouch for someone if it's you that's ended up out of pocket...but it really isn't like him. I think he's been extremely busy with the "day job" also, he's not been around that much on the UK scene of late.

The moderators on MRC (I believe) suspended his access, not due to scamming or dodgy dealing, but because they thought he was infringing their rather fussy and pointless rules on trading (ie they want a yearly "rent" to trade more than a few items on the site) so sadly they probably don't have too much interest in helping you out much. You may have more luck trying to get hold of him on fduk.org if you have access. I'll send him a PM on there to make him aware of this thread anyway, and hopefully he'll be able to clear up any remaining problems.

Thanks Robbie and Nik.

I have just received an email from him. He says that he tried to send an email to me with his phone asking for my address so he could send the lights. The package, he says, has been ready to ship for one month pending an arrival of my email address. But I never responded...

I did though, email him periodically for the last 3 months and he never replied to me... odd huh?

I hope he ships these things to me and we get this all cleared up. In about a month, we will be at our one year anniversary mark

Yeah, we're pretty primitive out here in the Old Country lol, if there's a carrier pigeon shortage we barely get any emails at all hahaha

@ TheCrazyAZN, I dropped Jit a message and by the look of it he's managed to get in touch with you, dude so hopefully it'll all be resolved soon one way or another. He did confirm the suggestions above that he'd lost a lot of email records and transaction details, so I guess the problems were caused by genuine issues, even if the amount of time it's taken is clearly out of order. Glad to help, anyway

Package received December 1st!

Exactly 22? 23? MONTHS after I made my initial purchase....

Cliff notes to what went down:
Paid for lights January 2009 ( Yes, that's 2009) . Never received parts, emails etc.,
Got back in touch with him many months later, agreed to accept a new set of lights
More months go by, no answers from emails etc.
Finally got back in touch with him after I made more effort to make buyers aware of his reputation on the UK forums.
He sends lights to me, I received them December, 2010.
Lights are NOT in the same condition as originally advertised. Unfortunately though, I cant find pictures of the original ones. I did save them, just have to look for them. But in his ad, there is only mention of the cracked amber lens. The set he sent to me, doesn't have a cracked amber lens but does have corrosion or burnt material in the main light housing. Although, I would have appreciated knowing this beforehand, I will over look it especially since Id rather not deal with this buyer ever again.

So, if I were to rate this seller with feedback, Id offer a Neutral one. Though it did take almost 2 years to complete the transaction, weeks and months would go by before I would receive an email reply, the parts conditions received weren't accurately described; I DID receive the lights.

I would still warn buyers to be aware of my situation and tread carefully when buying from this person. In the end, thanks Jit for being honest and putting forth effort to make this situation right.
