Well I bought a starter of this guy about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Said he would ship the next day, a week I PM'd and received an answer that he had been busy at work and forgot would ship the next day. A week after that, I asked wtf was going on, heard nothing and yesterday opened a Paypal dispute. Haven't heard anything and I dont expect to, so watch out for this guy.

I bought the core engine from him about the same time (sep 24). It was to be sent freight via my company and I sent him the appropriate papers already filled out. I havent received it and to my knowledge it hasnt been shipped.

I sent him a PM with no reply, he hasn't been online in over a week.

I called him and left a message with no reply.

I filed with paypal tonight.

 

I escalated my dispute to a claim maybe 4 days ago. Still heard nothing, looks like ill get my 50 bux back.
Meanwhile this guy seems to have disappeared

No, I just filed a claim with PP, that was probably 6 days ago. I saw that RotaryRes had called and hasn't gotten a response, figured I wouldn't either.

Got to talk to Ricky, said he'd been too busy to ship parts out and had forgotten about it. He says he will ship mine this thursday, his day off, or Friday morning. I told him that if for some reason he can't get that done then he should refund me and he agreed. We'll see.

I have his parents' number and his work number if anyone needs them to contact him.

Well I was told I would receive a refund yesterday. SURPRISE!! I didn't.

1. SCAMMER: Do nothing PP will refund me my money in 2 days.
2. LOUSY seller: Refund me my money and I will state that i received here for all to see

If you've got time to come on to this board and post you've got time to refund me my money.

Upon coming home tonight I saw that PP is processing my refund. Thank you.

Refund received. Thank you. This experience wasn't a good one but BeerTech has refunded me my money.

 

Thursday and Friday went by with no engine shipment. Ricky said he would ship it Monday. Monday comes, and by then paypal's 10 day period has run out so they issue me almost a full refund. Today (tuesday) Ricky says he shipped the engine. This being the case, it should be here in 1-2 days, and once it arrives I will pay Ricky the amount paypal refunded and also update this thread.

 

Today the engine shows up so I will be sending Ricky his money that paypal refunded again. All's well that ends well, I guess. Turns out the core was half junk, but Ricky is giving it to me cheaper than our initial agreement for this reason so I am satisfied at this point.

 

This thread has recently been brought to my attention and FWIW... we don't know this guy and he has NO affiliation with the Real BeerTech racing.

I think he is a good guy in the end but really needs to get his act together before selling on here

 

Ok so I acted one day to soon, I got the alternator today, no pigtail though but that is the least of my concerns, going to pepboys now to get it tested just to be safe, just needs no log on and let people know whats up...

 

autozone was closer, tested good, all is well
