RE-Speed no contact

I contacted RE-Speed on May 11th about purchasing one of the oil filler necks for the FD that works with the GZ/Xcessive LIM. He told me to send him an email with my zip so he could get a shipping quote, which I did. He told me it would be 183.27 which I sent on may 12th. I haven't heard from him since. I've sent 2 PMs and an email and I haven't heard from him since the 11th. I haven't even recieved confirmation from him that he got the payment but paypal says its gone through.

No dice, that's the email I've emailed them at. I'm aware of them recently updating the website which is why I PM'd them on here to get in touch with them as when I needed to order the filler neck the site was down.

That's possible but the lack of communication doesn't sit well with me.

I also am missing an item I paid for around 10 days ago with no comms. Called and left a message today.

Edit: Funny, Sam just called me right back. Says he is sending me tracking info when he gets back to his shop.

Kyle, I told him about you and about this thread.

--Kyle,

Sorry for the lack of communication on my part. I did mention what has happened in a response with the paypal dispute. If you're still interested in getting one though, I'm willing to give it to you at a discounted price. Give me a call on my cell phone if you can (519-495-3357)

--Rich

Tracking number had just been sent over to you.

Actually I'll just send the one here in a few minutes to you. You can either consider it as a gift, or if you feel like paying something for it contact me before you do so.

EDIT -- Just PM'ed your tracking number for that.

Surprising! Anything I bought off Sam was dealt with and shipped promptly.

I know Chris and he raves about Sam's work.

My only gripe is the coil over springs for my FB are too too soft, have to use spacers. I asked for a spring rate comparable to my racing beat springs and they're not it.

Yeah, I've always heard good things about the guys at RE-Speed, they did get me my neck and we were able to work things out. Apart from the delay I'm happy with the transaction.

I was looking to purchase sway bars front coil overs and a rack conversion(which i was goin to modify for rhd) but may be back to doing it here in Australia which sux.

So I guess this is the norm. I ordered a big brake kit for a FB a week ago, His website said it would ship Monday and arrive on Friday. Never got a confirmation from him saying it had shipped, only that my paypal had gone thru. Now 2 emails latter and I am still waiting to hear from him. All I want to know is that I have not been ripped off. I respect that he has work to do, I have 2 jobs myself, but it doesn't take but a few seconds to drop an email and say hey it'll ship in a week or its shipped. Just something to let me know that you at least got my order. I don't remember Billy every doing his customers this way. So I guess I've ranted enough. All I want to do is get my FB back on the road.

Well just to clarify i got a text msg back and i believe there has been a lot of issues with the website in respect to orders. Try sams direct number he responded to my message after a few days. A lot of the issues is canadian post in my case with the time it takes to send. Perhaps another freight company would make life easier! Sam gave me his word that he had personally sent the items which i do believe. He is going to try and chase up the tracking info when he can but needs to sort through the mess to find the correct invoice. I will keep posting any further updates. I do however agree a reply email is much needed just to ensure that your order is secure. it may be a
different story if it was his money spent for parts im sure!

When I ordered Canadian post was the only real problem I had took FOREVER due to a strike, which Sam had no control over, I agree on the alternate shipping option like UPS, I'd be down to pay a bit extra for great parts.

Just throwing in my 2 cents here;
I ordered a set of brake lines for my SA, turned out there was an error in their computer systems and I was sent a male to female rear line (SA needs a female to female).
Sam was very prompt with his responses and had the whole thing sorted out and new brake line shipped to me before I even had the chance to miss driving the car.

Given the circumstance, I don't think I could have wanted the situation handled any differently in any way.

Now I just need to start saving up for some more parts!

I have to update my earlier comment.

I "did" experience great service from Billy when he owned respeed, and I "did" experience good service from Sam "LAST YEAR"

However, Sam has not replied to my earlier post or my pm on the forum regarding my springs, never replied to the message I left on his answering machine, never answers the phone #'s listed on his website and his one phone mailbox is full and not taking messages.

Very disappointing since the name "Respeed" has been known for such a quality product for so many years and the only manufacturer of a quality rack and pinion upgrade for our cars among other parts.

Un-satisfied customer here too.

I've dealt with Sam numerous times because he's local to me (1 hour drive away).

I'm building 2 FB's for very good customers of mine and have been using alot of Re-speed parts on both cars, I explained to Sam 3 months ago that I needed a fuel cell for the one FB and I needed it for the end of Aug as I was pushing to get the car done for the customer.

He told me it shouldn't be a problem at the begining of July.....well now its the end of Aug and after several attempts to contact him over the last 2 months to see how progress was coming along, still no reply.

I've pm'd through the forum here, texted severalll times throughout July, phoned his cell and left voicemail, nothing.

i ordered front and rear coilovers from respeed. 2 months ago. i recieved less than half of my order. needless to say, im pretty dissapointed... as it sits, my SA looks like a lifted 4X4.

we put our trust in people and expect great customer service, for a service that they claim to deliver promptly, and us the consumer, are left with empty pockets, and broken dreams.

if you dont plan on keeping up with your customers, might as well not even have a buisiness.
