Pineapple Racing = Bad experience.

Pineapple Racing = Bad experience.

These guys sent me a non working egt guage- I sent it back and they said they
would send another after 3months I still have no guage and am out money.
I say ban - do no business with these thieves.

I've had no problems with them
I've bought many parts from them, and although it took a while to get here the parts got here. But that was all around when they were having problems a while back with the shop...

Heh, a friend of mine is good friends with Rob up there.
Have you tried contacting them about it?
I'm sure if you talked to Rob things would get straightened out pretty quick.

I've called, emailed and they are always very courteous and have an answer.
Rob emailed me yesterday and said he swore it left the shop last week. Problem
is this is his answer every time I call. He wanted me to tell everyone about the
free work he is doing on this- said he took it to a friend for testing and it worked.
All I know is it didn't work for me and I even called Hewitt Industries who makes
the guage. They gave me the ohm specs. and it was out of spec. Why don't
they just send me a new one-I mean really- this is no way to do business!

He said he would let me know by this morning what would happen, still haven't
heard anything. I'll post each time something happens or there is correspondence.
I've had alot of good dealing's lately and have'nt posted those- I think I'll start.

Wow dude. Relax. With how much business I have done with them over the phone and how much I have talked to them. I wouldn't even worry if I left my wallet with my debit card and corresponding pin sitting on their shop counter for a week. I know it would be complete and intact when I came back.

I've never had a problem with these guys either. They even gave me some tips on how to make the most of my 5th and 6th port sleeves when I got them.

This has been going on for months. I'm far from premature on this- I got it back
assembled and it still doesn't work. I'm sending it to Hewitt Industries to see
what they say. As for me chilling, I'm as good a customer as you could want.
I simply want what I pay for in a reasonable period of time, neither have happened here. If it were RP, Chris would have delivered 10 of 'em
to me until one worked; and that would have happened months ago.

I would say it's the manufacture of the egt kit that you should be pissed at, not Pineapple. I have the same kit and have killed two set of probes. That and their turn around time isn't the greatest. I've also noticed that if you crimp the long wire in anyway you change the resistance of the setup and it will not work.

I'm gonna say no, I should be upset at the seller of the faulty product. You buy apples w/ worms are you mad at the tree, no- the grocery store. Here's another guy with problems, I'm calling bs on these guys. Any way I've sent the unit to Hewitt for testing, will post results.

I installed 2 separate egt guages of a different make and much more complicated wiring scheme and viola, work perfectly. As for the pineapple guage, out of spec.

I order from them all the time and never had a problem and get what I order within 2 or 3 days. If I would have had a problem & posted negatively about a vendor, I would hear about it. Like my recent post which wasn't even directed to anyone specific.. someone took offence to it & of course others had to jump on the bandwagon. Noone says anything about the vendors on here who buy on Ebay & then refuse to pay.. these ppl sponser this site too. Bought a set of 12A rotor housings from me & made excuses not to pay saying I scammed them. Not saying any names. If you want names, PM me.

maybe they just pick on random people- I have since bought, installed, tuned with, and fell in love with a dual egt setup bought on ebay. If you guys don't want to hear the truth then just bury head in sand and don't look at these threads.

don't want to hear the truth? people are just expressing to you that they have dealt with Pineapple and not had many or any problems. same with me, i've bought and talked to them many times and never had a bad experiance. it just goes to show you that no shop is perfect but the good-to-bad ratio is defineatly in their favor. and that's the truth.
