I can't speak for his parts and there are two sides to every story, but when multiple people comment on his phone manner...or lack thereof...that would be of concern to me.
I don't think I've ever actually spoken with him on the phone, so I can't say one way or another. Maybe he is an *** on the phone, I don't know. It seems to me that he's a mechanic and parts seller first, so maybe his people skills suck and he didn't get into it with the intention of having to talk to people on the phone. I have an online business also and I've been guilty of being a dick to people on the phone in certain circumstances as well, but that doesn't reflect on my parts or prices and I'd wonder about the logical thinking ability of anyone who would let a single remark via phone run them away from one of the few remaining consistent parts sellers for rare parts.

But, each to their own.

No need to hate on me. I do stand behind all of my stuff.

Thats you?? WHATS UP DUDE!!! You totally hooked me up recently. I picked up the pair of red S5 T2 mirrors a while back. your price for two was better than some people for one.

(Turns out they are not Blaze red, so Ive yet to get them painted and installed... I trust that they work...)

I'd estimate that out of 100 FC's in the US, 65 of them were s4 NA, 20 of them were s5 NA, 14 of them were s4 turbo II, and 1 of them was s5 turbo II. Those are admittedly numbers I've just pulled out of my *** since Im too lazy to actually look up the production numbers per model, but I'd say it's close. Still it stands to reason that there are approximately 10 s4 turbos (and thus 10 s4 turbo harnesses) out there for every 1 s5 turbo.

Seriously...go right now and find all the USDM turbo II harnesses currently for sale, and tell me how many s4 vs s5 you find. Not NA harnesses...turbo harnesses.

hell,im still trying to figure out your"milage doesnt matter" theory,
Let me expand further since some of you seem to have misunderstood.

As an experienced mechanic, I can say that mileage is not always an indicator of condition. I have seen parts with 150k that were in better condition than parts with 80k. Maybe that 150k car was better maintained or was always babied, while that 80k car had a rough life with no maintenance and was 'rode hard and put up wet". You can't always tell by looking at the outside of a part (such as a trans or a diff).

Sure this is not ALWAYS the case, and in general a lower mileage part will usually be a bit better than a higher mileage part. My point is that MILEAGE IS NOT AN ABSOLUTE INDICATOR OF CONDITION, and that the condition difference between a 46k mile part and a 78k mile part (for instance) could be little to none, so unless you've paid a greatly higher price for the lower mile part than you would have paid otherwise, it's not worth making a huge deal over AS LONG AS THE PART YOU RECEIVE IS IN DECENT WORKING CONDITION.

If you have a "business" and you don't understand the importance of customer service to not only sustaining but growing your business. Crap customer service kills businesses even with great products.

I'd also like to suggest that if you view FC Parts as "rare"...well...never mind. I see you are a new member and that explains it. FC's are throwaway cars at this point in time with the exception of S5 T2's, GTUs and 10th AE's. Even then they are worth far more in parts than their value as a whole.

I genuinely hope you enjoy your online business and I hope you begin considering customer service as vital to your future success.

I am not really a "new" member...just a new name. Believe me or not, but I've probably forgotten more about FC's than everyone in this thread knows.

I have operated my business for well over a decade...it's doing just fine thank you. I try to give people exactly what I describe that I will give them, but I also do not kiss people's butts either. They can buy from me or they can look elsewhere (looking longer and paying more) for what they need....their choice. For every buyer that becomes offended due to some minor issue, there are 9 more in line that are just happy to get what they need at a decent price and in a timely manner. At this stage in the game, reliable rotary parts sellers are just as valuable to the community as rotary parts buyers since there are very few parts sellers left and most of the junkyard cars are long gone.

And yes, *some* FC parts are "rare". For instance, s5 turbo II electronics (ECU, harness, AFM, boost sensor, cluster), NA LSD diffs, 4.3 diffs, back seat setups, fully working wiper switches and logicons, turbo II front lips and side skirts, s5 turbo wheels, etc.

I have had buyers from all over the country and in fact quite a few international buyers, many of whom thank me for doing what I do because they have been looking long and hard for whatever it is they're buying and can't find any locally or regionally.

Interesting discussion. It was good to see both parties taking time to comment.
