Bought a "new" head light cover from MrMazda on ebay. Make a long story short he sends me a used one from a white 94 or 95 and the front plastic is cracked where it always is. You can see the screw marks where it was used. Damn I tell I am done with ebay! Thanks for letting me vent on the forum!

 

I have always bought used parts from him before in very good conditions. Shipping is very fast too. Ebay is great if you know what your buying.

I've always bought many parts from him too with no issues. Talk to him and for sure he will make it right.

 

Well when you advertise something as NEW and not used, then send something you know is used that is BS in my book.

I must have overlooked the bottom part of the headlight where he is referring to the crack.
Though, it is new headlight cover.
I offered to issue a full refund plus will send him a ups return label so he will not be out any money.

No need to hate on me. I do stand behind all of my stuff.

Mr mazda great guy to deal with, bought quite a few parts from him on ebay. but lately his being setting a reserve price on the items, no good.

 

your mrmazda7,alington texas on ebay?i contacted you about the t2 rear diff last week,ive bid on it several times and asked why it keeps getting relisted,you replied your parting several 7's,problem is the description shows pristine 46k mile diff in pic and states its s4,are all the diffs your selling accurately described?your lucky i havent won any of those auctions,guaranteed you would be giving full refund plus shipping....time to put a disclaimer in that auction or update the description

Lighten up man, RX7s are not the car to own if you suffer from severe OCD. IF you pay for a clean turbo II diff, and you get a clean turbo II diff, does the exact car/year/mileage really matter? As long as we're not talking about the difference between 50k miles clean advertised and 175k miles greasy/oily delivered, I don't see why it matters. Would you lose sleep at night knowing that you thought you'd installed a 46k mile diff but in reality installed a 78k mile one instead?

I am sure he is an honest guy. Probably 99% of the people that do business with him are satisfied. I am not one of them!
I broke a CV joint on my driveshaftshop axle a couple weeks ago and the only way to replace it is to put another stocker on it.
I ordered two TII axles from him 7 days ago in anticipation that it would be here sometime this week so I could race in the last race of the year this weekend.
He sent them TODAY! I will get them in another week!
If somebody buys something from me, I make sure it is shipped out the next day. The last thing I want is for somebody to be pissed off about me sitting around with my thumb up my ***! I expect the same treatment.
If you buy from this guy, make sure you don't need it in a hurry! That's all I am saying.

Look, the guy shipped it out within 7 days, and youre complaining? Get real. You post this nonsense, and for what? Your post comes off like youve been waiting three months for your parts.....Whether you like it or not, waiting a few days is hardly too much to ask. If you want it immediately, buy it off of someone that you can meet up with locally and pick it up out of his hands. It's amazing how much things have changed in car clubs over just the last few years.....The guy sent it. You have nothing to complain about unless you worked out a specific arrangement with him prior to the sale that he would ship it immediately. Doesnt sound to me like you did. As it is, we're talking about 20+ year old car parts.....and youre bitching about having to wait a week. You know, people who owned these cars used to understand that these are old cars, with not as many places to get parts as there used to be. If you cannot handle the concept of owning an older car that is not so common, then sell your car and go buy a Civic. And to think, I not only have to deal with FC parts, I also own a rare supercharged T-Bird that Ford discontinued half the parts on. If I had your attitude, I wouldnt be able to survive owning these cars.

 

For the record, this DOES matter. There's a reason why there is a legal requirement for sellers to accurately describe what they are selling, chief. You may be fine doing business that way but it aint acceptable here. How hard could it be to simply say it had 78K on it in the first place instead of misleading a buyer, as your scenario would have done?

 

I am probably going to order from him in a few weeks. Ive ordered parts from him before and has always delivered. I ask questions and he promptly sends me answers. Seems like a good guy. Same diff might relist if the reserve is not met? Idk.

If I were in your shoes, and I needed parts to arrive by a certain date so I could be ready for an event, I would have checked with the seller FIRST, before sending money, to ensure that he could deliver on time. You ASSUMED, and then you fault the seller for not reading your mind. You have made no indication here that you communicated your time requirements to him, and yet youre pissed off because he did not live up to a standard that you never even told him you needed?? Really?

How's about we try using a little common sense on this? Shipping within a week is NOT bad selling--now, if you had asked, and he agreed to send it out immediately, then you may have a point. But so far, you have not told me of any such request on your part, so how in the world can you fault him for not living up to a deadline you never even told him about? There is nothing wrong with setting such an expectation, as long as you check with the seller and all parties agree to it.

I recently purchased on Ebay an OEM S5 Turbo wiring harness from this guy for $306.21 shipped. So I opened up the box to find it all crammed up in there, and due to that the entire ecu connector female plug end (large) was completely full of engine oil grime! Thanks a lot.

-His response to my phone call was; "You know these are $700+ new from Mazda, dont you?"

Will not buy from again

 

shop here first,ive seen plenty of turbo engine harnesses advertised for even less than $100,hope you took full advantage of the feedback systym,i should of contacted everyone on his feedback history(yes you can actually send messages to ebay members thru the feedback section)that won that same 46K diff,saw at least 4 of them,and enlightened them as to what they may or may not have rcvd,he prob. would have been suspended a long time ago

I'm confused. Was the box full of grease or oil?

OF course, while this is something that I could admittedly see getting upset about initially, it takes all of 15 seconds to blast it with compressed air or brake cleaner/carb cleaner/contact cleaner to clean those pins to perfection...so I'm not sure it even warranted contacting him to complain?

Have you ever removed an engine in your garage? If you pull the complete engine with accessories, it's easy for the harness ecu plugs to drag through dirty patches in the engine bay on the way out, or drag across the ground as you move it on the engine stand, and that's probably how the grease got on the plug ends.

 

You might have seen some crappy condition s4 turbo harnesses being sold in the $100 range, and they always need a lot of doctoring in that price range. A true USDM 89-91 turbo harness is RARE and if it is in good condition then $200-300 is at the top end of the market value for it. I'd estimate that only about 1 out of 100 FC's is an 89-91 turbo model, yet you have all of these NA guys trying to do conversions, so there is a lot of demand for s5 t2 parts.

By comparison s4 t2 stuff is "dime a dozen" and worth less than half.

 

I guess this is the point at which I should divulge that I've bought thousands of dollars of parts from this guy over the course of the last decade, everything always comes as shown and as described **IF YOU ARE REALISTIC IN YOUR EXPECTATION OF CONDITION** based upon the age of the part in question.

My most recent purchase was a turbo driveshaft last week. Came in 3 days' time in great condition.

I buy probably 1 part from him every month or two. I can't recall ever having a significant issue with ANY part I've ever bought.

I can't say the same for many NEW PARTS vendors I have dealt with, both in the rotary world and elsewhere. For instance, I'm doing an engine swap into another car and paid $850 for a set of ceramic coated conversion headers. The oxygen sensor bungs on the headers are in the wrong place and will not permit the sensors to be installed PERIOD. I contact the vendor who contacts the manufacturer and after a two week wait for a response, they want me to send them back.

I tell them no, they are going to send me a replacement set up front, along with a prepaid return shipping label. They agree, and two weeks later they arrive. This time they are totally wrong, for an entire different engine. I am still waiting for a proper set of replacements over a month later.

When you have an experience like that with Curtis, you'll have a reason to post here and complain. If you get the part that you agreed to purchase, at the agreed upon price, within a week or two's time, and it is pretty much in the condition promised, then I don't see that you have a valid reason to complain (regardless of the vendor).

 

i dont understand where you got the idea that s4 t2 harnesses are a dime a dozen and the s5 are some kind of uber rare "mythical "creature?hell,im still trying to figure out your"milage doesnt matter" theory,but if your doing business with the guy on a reg. basis and are completely happy i say by all means "carry on"

 

In all fairness, S5 T2 Harnesses are rare if based on nothing else the low number that were sold in the US.

I can't speak for his parts and there are two sides to every story, but when multiple people comment on his phone manner...or lack thereof...that would be of concern to me.
