I personally have chosen not to do business with them, both as a customer, and as a supplier for a part he requested for retail.

Everyone has different acceptable levels of risk

Sorry, but I disagree on going the laissez-faire route.
If you choose to deal with this ******* at least one of two things happens….you get screwed, or your purchase ultimately finances the screwing of someone else…likely on a larger scale.
For me it’s not a “risk” since that implies chance, and there’s no doubt the screwing WILL happen. And neither scenario should be acceptable.
Just don’t deal with him. Nothing that I’m aware of isn’t available from a legitimate vendor anyway.

We got screwed out of $2400 when ordering an intake. We'd bought parts from him before and received them but we bought this intake in summer of 2022. He won't respond to messages about the order and he won't give us a refund. He continues to sell preorders of this part that we've been waiting over a year to get and we can't likely get our money back because we didn't dispute it soon enough.

its wild to me how seemingly no one cares and the community continues to support him. what do you have to do to lose the trust and backing of the rx7 community? starting to look like there is no line that can be crossed simply because there is no line

We care. But a guess is that with the importing and natural turnover, there’s a steady enough supply of naive new owners.Apparently it doesn’t take much when you have better than a 100% margin on parts and labor.

They also installed a dyno so that is attracting locals who do not know their history.

Wtf . . Everytime I called to check on my order, Sal was on the Dyno, with a customer or out sick. His secretary would pass it along I called. Emails were non-responsive.
