Water injection on almost stock T2. your opinions pls.
Well i have an 88. t2 with a 91 turbo with the gsl-se secondaries running 14psi with the FCD. My afr is at 11.2. MY idea is to make my car faster with keeping my stock parts (intercooler, turbo, ecu)so far im running 8.5 seconds on the 1/8. soo..
I wanna make a homemade water injection system, i have bought the shurflo pump, and the pressure switch, and im gonna be using nitrous jets as my nozzle.
My plan is to inject pre turbo, my reason is mainly because after 12psi im just blowing hot air, so with the water injection i can change the compressor map and gain that lost horsepower. the size of the nozzle im planning on using is a 014 NOS jet, which i believe is about 195cc/m.
How much horsepower do you think ill gain? if a add a bit of methenol like 20% will it make a better difference?or will it damage my turbo? NOTE: that im still using my stock intercooler.
Please give some feedback your opinions and suggestions please and thank you.

You will gain power, I've done it back to back on the dyno. I am not very familiar with Nitrous Jets, however I tried one once and it didn't work to well. You will gain more power if you add the water injection and lean the afr out, try 11.9 with the water on.
Here is a stock twin/stock motor FD with just water injection preturbo; very reliable 300rwhp

hey thnx =D. yea i was wondering about the nitrous jet, my friend used it on his buick 50/50 thought it might work here.how much horsepower gain do you suspect i can gain here? What can i buy other than the nitrous spray nozzle? and is the size i chose a good one? (i read howard colemans thread on sizing and this is what i came up with) but id liked to be reasured.
i cant really lean it out because i dont have control of the fuel, but i can raise the boost a bit more to compensate thatll lower my afr, dont wanna kill the turbo either lol. how safe is this though. (my daily driver to work)
thnx alot for the feedback
