some picks of my ai install

Not generally for cars that are not daily driven. If you daily drive the car you can get away with a smaller battery. For a non daily driver...even a larger Miata size battery... is a little too small for a bat that isn't kept on a charger regularly. Just my experience.

kinda hard to tell, but is the pump above the bottom of the tank, if so you may or may not have trouble priming the pump if you run out of fluid
just a thought while you have it in pieces still

The only time there was a problem was when the car came off the dyno and the idle settings weren't right. Wore the battery down that day getting it started again.
Otherwise, never a problem.
I have a circuit breaker installed in the engine bay, and cut power after I park it in the garage.
Definitely not a daily driver. Sometimes only started once weekend a month for an autox or other event.
If you feel better about it, use a charger on it.
The odyssey website has docs detailing the kind of charger needed.
I can't recall if a battery tender type charger works with these or not.
My charger is a Sear automatic, this model I think: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_02871234000P
It does work with odyssey pc680.
