PWM control of snow performance solenoids and UHO pump

Looking to set up my AI through a Haltech Elite 2500, and I am curious if anyone is willing to share their experience doing this.

I am mostly looking for info regarding the frequency to run the solenoids and UHO pump. Would prefer to avoid hooking up the Snow controller and scoping it.

Thinking about running it all through this, assuming 150hz is enough:

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks,
Alex

Just be mindful that flow will likely be very non linear with pump speed/generated pressure. You are probably best not dropping pump speed too much. Have you got a speed or operating frequency of the solenoid?

apology for asking the obvious; did you ask Snow and if so, what did they say?

"not supported"

I have seen a few recommendations in the 20-30 Hz range for the solenoid, and 500 Hz for the pump.

The more I think about it the more I am leaning towards running the pump full bore and experimenting with the solenoid at low frequency. Realistically, it should be fine to slam on but I am just looking for something a bit more elegant. Maybe I am over thinking it.

You can always stage 2 smaller nozzles

My fresh build is a week or two from its first start, so just going to focus on the important bits before putting too much more effort into this. I'll start with full pump speed, and stage two smaller nozzles. Will report back once we are pushing for power and refining things.

Cheers,
Alex

ya right now I'm pulsing my meth pump thru a SSR and haltech
having some issues and might end up going with powering pump on fully and pulsing a solenoid instead
