i am wanting to know if it is possible to setup a map sensor that is only for a progressive AI system? meaning, that would be the map sensors sole purpose in life. i use a megasquirt and the map sensor is built into the ECU(thats why i want to use a separate sensor). so if it is fairly simple, which i think it would be, how is it done?

also, the whole reason i ask this is because i happen to have and extra GM map sensor. my other question is, how do you tell whether the sensor is a 2 or 3 bar sensor?

I can't speak for all progressive units, but the coolingmist vari controller has a map sensor built in and i would assume all others are the same.

 

thats why theirs is $500+ and the others are $3-400.

my alky control is hooked up to the same map sensor that my aem ems came with...this is on the bimmer not the rx7 tho duno if it makes a difference...
