JB Welding an AI bung

I bought an Aquamist Bung for my AI system , Now I've been trying to get it welded , and no one wants to weld alluminum .

or they want to charge me 50 dollars just to weld the bung on .

now a friend told me to just JB weld it .

would this be an ok idea?

pay the 50 bucks...

JB weld won't hold 5, 7, 10 or more PSI of pressure.

I was told 75% of max

that being said, since I went to a stage2 controller that progressively sprays more and more, I set mine to start at 5psi and ramp up to 15psi

How do you like your aquamist system? I was thinking of getting HSF-4 but not sure if it worth upgrading my alky control unit.

intake air temps seem to hold better ,and when i spray fora long time the temp drops a few degrees when i'm heat soaked . but i'm not spraying enough if i'm honest . apart form that its very simple and I haven't had issues with bogging the car with tomuch water

hiboost, you should see a difference in transients with the aquamist due to it's greater flow range.

I use the 2d as well. Comes on at 5 psi. I am using the priming pump activater realy inline with the washer pump. It will flow about 40% more than just the little pump itself. Tested it and now am seeing 525cc per minute. My temps drop 10 to 15 celcius on a full WOT pull depending on the current AIT . Check into this nifty little addition they have made. G

(a) your friend is banned from giving you FD-related advice, or any advice for that matter.

(b) if you can't spend 50 bucks to have something done right on your FD, you may want to consider a different car. Just saying.
