GM AIT sensor before or after AUX injection?
GM AIT sensor before or after AUX injection?
Hello,
My build is coming together nicely, the microtech wiring is almost complete and the car is looking great.
I picked up a GM (AC Delco) open element AIT yesterday from my local auto parts store (#213-190 with pigtail #PT778). The car will be running an AEM water/meth injection kit.
I am wondering if I should mount the AIT before or after the water/meth injection.
Also, I have heard of guys running -35 windsheild wiper fluid(blue stuff) as injectant because it is 50/50 water and methanol, this seems a little bit strange to me but it this an accepted method?
Thanks,
=Benjamin

I think you would want it after the AI. At a point where the ai has had a chance to atomize fully and for the air temp to be accurate. It only makes sense to me this way due to fuel map corrections based on IATs.

so near the stock location would be accurate. right? thinking that they air temp when it first enters the engine is all that matters wouldnt on the upper manifold be the best place?
