FJO setup questions for sequential twins

I'm just about done installing my FJO HD AI system.

1) Which "injection mode" would be best for a dual-purpose car, setup for both street and for road-circuits ?

a) MAP vs RPM; or
b) MAP vs TPS

I want to be able to modulate the power, and hence the flow of water based-upon BOTH RPM and TPS, but I only have the two options above.

2) Should I get the RPM signal from the tach signal or the coil-trigger signal ?

a) if tach, is it +3 ?
b) if coil trigger, how often does a 2-rotor "fire" per crankshaft revolution ?

I'll be running distilled water only, with a single 600cc injector.
She still runs the stock twins in stock sequential form.

The engine is mildly street-ported, with 4x850cc injectors controlled by a PFC that is very conservatively tuned by Steve Kan at 14-psi (high) and 10-psi (low).

Since the tune is very conservative, I'm thinking 20% water is good starting point.

BTW: I'm NOT tuning-up, is there any harm in NOT installing the option boost control solenoid ?

Lastly, I do have a DataLogit if I need to modify the fuel-map, and an Innovative (not FJO) wideband.

Thanks,
:-) neil

I would vote MAP vs RPM, as I would think that most of the data points with MAP vs TPS would be redundant since you're not going to be building boost without using a certain amount of throttle.

Tech support agreed that for circuit/road courses, MAP vs. RPM.

Use tach signal vs. ignitor/coil, as the tach signal is cleaner, and just adjust the settings to get the right RPM. Use 3000 RPM as a reference.

No need to use the boost control solenoid when not tuning-up.

FJO will can ONLY use FJO wideband when used to control boost, as the FJO wideband has a databus.

You can still use your other widebands to monitor and help tune, but you can't use it as a safety input.
