AI for a supercharged RX7
I have the Camden kit on my RX-7 and wanted to find a way to run more boost. The problem is, the motor runs hot, and there isn't any real way to run an intercooler. Someone in the 2nd Gen section said come here for all the answers. I have been reading through all the posts, and AI sounds great.
I am thinking of running a 50:50 mix. Is there a kit out there that has all the necessary parts? Is one system better than another?
The car is a street car, so I don't want to be pulling over every 20 miles to refill the system. I want something that can last as long as the tank of gas does, or at least half a tank of gas.
I am not the most technical guy, so if you don't mind, try to keep it in layman's terms.
Thanks for the help!

Most set-ups will last at least half a tank so you should be alright on that count, I only had a small tank last year and that lasted at least half a tank.
If its something your worried about just go for the largest tank you can get/fit in and you'll be sorted
If I give you a few questions to answer, they should help others point you in the right direction of what kit would suit you best...
1/ What plans do you have for the car, street/track/strip
2/ Budget
3/ Are you planning on using this just as a safety feature, i.e to cool inlet temps, provide extra detonation control, etc, etc, or do you want a system that you can map to to get extra power gains. This will determine whether you'll need a simple staged kit, or a full on mappable one.
Most kits come with everything you need.
Now this isnt bashing the methanol boys, but if you want a kit just for extra safety, it might be better off to go just for water. Methanol can provide some great power gains (as can water), but if your going to have a system you not going to map to, it might not be worthwhile plus you would have the hassle of handling it, buying it, etc without much gain. Whereas water has the ease of supply and obviously is safe to handle, also if you run out mid trip easier to find some more
Like I say im not bashing methanol, I just wonder if its worth going through the hassle of it if you arent really going to exploit it.

I have the snow performance kit on my s/c. I have used 50/50, straight water, washer fluid, and the snow performance nitor booster additive. I found washer fluid to be just find with no measureable diff over the 50/50 mix. The nitro booster wasn't worth it. What pulley, carb, engine and mods are you running? I have done lots of experimenting, ran 4 diff carbs and 4 diff pulleys to get the ideal combo.

The car is to be a street car, but may be on the track occassionally.
The budget is of little concern right now. I have been saving for about 8 years to fix the car up, so if it costs a little extra, I am willing to spend it.
The car has been street and exhaust ported. I have a 7" Roots blower with EFI. I have the Haltech ECU. I have upgrated the fuel and ignition as well.
I would love it to add more power if possible. The main thing is safety though. I want to run more boost, but when I put the 12 pound pulley on, the water temps climbed quickly.

I don't know what number is on it. Right now the car is at KDR Performance and I probably won't be able to get to the car any time soon.
Why do you ask?
