AI Newbie
Alright guys I've been wanting to get into methanol injection for a while and right now my car has come apart due to some "inconveniences" so I would like to get a meth kit ordered and installed while it's down.
Only problem is I don't know who to trust or what i really need.
Here's some details:
94 FD
S5 T2 3mm Rotors, 2 piece RA seals w/ OEM springs
Big streetport
ATP t04z, tial 46mm WG
KG Primary and secondary rails, 850/1600, aeromotive FPR
Braided line from hardlines at firewall
1 Walbro 255lph in-tank
9's all around, stock wires, coils, ignitor
HKS Twin Power
PFS Large SMIC
PFC, dataloggit, commander
Think thats all you guys would need to know.
Anywho, Last time at the dyno had bad ignition issues (why its apart now, adding in the HKS, new coils and ignitor) Only got to 11psi and put out 315whp on dyno dynamics anything over 11psi and it wouldnt go over 5500rpm.
But anyway, with the ignition taken care of I'd like to get some AI so I can go over 20psi on 93 octane pump gas, hoping for 450-500whp (arent we all), although I know I'm going to probably run out of fuel pump before I get there so realistically my goal is to tap out my fuel pump, then tune it down a bit to be safe.
What I would like is a system that stages properly, read about using a boost switch an how thats not too good of an idea, I prefer something that slowly comes on and that hits full injection when its needed, then tapers off as appropriate.
I will be using 100% methanol, no mixtures, so i'd need something capable of using straight methanol.
I'd also prefer to buy a full kit not put my own pieces together (but I don't mind doing that if it results in the best outcome)
So what would help me meet my goals? And what do you think I could achieve with the AI vs without adding the AI?
One more thing, i still use the stock plastic elbow from TB->IC, can i tap the water injectors into there or no?
Hopefully I'm not gonna get screamed at for asking stupid/redundant questions.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin.

Kevin,
Our stage 2 kit fits all your requirements. 100% meth compatible, progressive system. Set the min/max/tune and the system will progress from min to max.
http://www.coolingmist.com/detailmai...controllerkit2
You can use the stock elbow no problem with our injectors. The system will let you run more boost safer. It will cool your combustion temps, intake temps, etc.
We designed the kit initially on our 94 Rx-7.
Take care.
David

I have your 150+psi deluxe dual nozzle kit for my t2, just never finished the car yet, was gonna put it onto the FD but the way i ordered the kit was to have the Wolf 12v output control it so i couldnt just swap it over.

any rx7club discounts? I think I'm going to do like you said and just get the vari-cool unit to add on to what I have already and then buy a whole new kit when i need it for the FC.
