I seem to be stuck in the middle of power goals...

My fd is new to me. But it had been sitting for ten years. Car is making good power, I suspect somewhere around 400 at the crank, very roughly 330whp?

Anyway, I have access to E85 around me. I have been thinking about making the change, really, to be safe. I figured the car would pick up power just because of the higher octane rating, but I would be fine with a high 300whp. Like 380 or thereabouts. I dont want to remove the stock twins. I like saying I have two turbos haha. The car already has a considerable amount done to it, large streetport, rad/ic upgrade, non seq mod for the twins, power fc with commander, etc etc etc.

Now I have no idea where to start with upgrading the fuel system for e85. What kind of fuel filter should I use? I know I need to stay away from paper elements. Can I keep the upgraded fuel filter in the original location, as horrible as that idea sounds. ..do I just use like.. a 10 micron inline filter from like...aeromotive? And what kind of fuel pump can I get away with, aince im not seeking tons of power? I did my homework, so I know the bosch o44 is popular, and a lot of people seem to run two... but I cant help but feel this is crazy overkill for me, even though e85 needs 30% more. Also, ID2000s are expensive haha. I can afford them, but do I really need that large of injectors for the power goals I have in mind? What size primary and secondaries can I use for my power goals, and to have a good size safety net. I dont want to just squeak by with bare minimums, but also dont want to go crazy overboard, because I work for a living haha. Thanks for reading my post!

I can really only speak about a filter and pump. I've switched to E85 and still run a paper filter, I'm on my 2nd since switching about 5k ago but only because my tank was dirty before I cleaned it and just wanted to be sure, I've read a lot about a paper element being fine anyways. I'll have to see if I can find that info again.

Also, I made the switch to the Aeromotive 340 Stealth pump from an FD pump in my FC and it flows like crazy, but I don't know if a single would be enough. E85 + boost = a rather high BSFC I'm lead to believe and I think dual pumps would be needed, luckily FD's have a nice drop in dual pump hanger and the 340 is quite small for how well it flows. Don't hold me to any of this as I'm still in an N/A FC but that is what all the reading around here made me think. Maybe somebody here can help on pump and injector choice better than I can.

Im running two walbro e85 pumps, and id1000 primaries/ID2000 secondaries.. im seeing 70% duty cycle at 19 psi so i still have room to turn it up.. you could probably get away with one walbro 485 pump if you're only looking for 400-450hp, but definately run atleast id2000's for secondaries, you need alot of fuel for e85, but it's definately worth the switch. ALOT safer if you like to boost alot
