When i was at the pan-ams i noticed most of the low 7 second methanol burning cars were running two DIS-2s. It's not the cheapest solution but it definitely gets results. I run two digital 6s and a DIS 4, i have never had any ignition issues but if i had to do it over again i would just get the 500R, it would have actually been cheaper

I've searched a little on the 500R now and it seems the Haltech guys are having issues when trying to get the 500R to jive. Do you know if these issue has been figured out?

lol which check the one from 08 ? If you didnt get that one its because they ran out of money toward the end. So they should have asked you that question when you filed your taxes in Jan this year and you would have gotten it then by the IRS reducing your taxable income or including it directly into your refund by adding either 300-600-900-1200 or whatever they said you were suppose to get.

I'll give you the homey hookup on the M&W if you do decide to go that route.

Talk to Crispeed about the 3 6AL idea. He seems to prefer the MSD since the rev limiters are pretty damn good. I just hate trying to package all those boxes! I did a car with two DIS-2s and they just take up a lot of space. The M&W 14R is down right small. Only around 5 inches square.

30-40psi.... something like that. I'm trying to fix my problem areas right now (Ignition and Fuel pumps).

M&W is supposed to handle whatever I throw at it, right?

Group buy?

It might be the same coil. The one's we sell are OE Mercury. The one's on Ebay are "New Ignition Coil for Mercury Outboards". Like anything else on Ebay it might be the real deal, it might not be. They are selling for half the price we have them for though.

I'm more than game for a group buy. This is on my list of things to get and cheaper is always better.

Ludwing.. is it "possible to make short drives with the pro drag cdi? I'll also plan to run 30ish psi..

Eric , sorry to hijack your thread.

That's why I asked about street driving. What Steve was quoted above is true. The regular 14R is rated at 115mJ. The drag version is rated at 250mJ. Drive the drag version too long and it overheats.

30+ psi won't be a problem with the regular 14R. But of course it comes down to plugs, coils, wires, etc. as well.

When my car was firing the lx92 coils and dual fireball hi-6's made 5 distinct sparks that looked like Dracula's fingers grabbing for the piece of metal I was grounding the spark plug too. Bad ***
