e85 users, do you guys have issues with the fuel sending unit?
my car is going to be tuned with e85 so before we started the car we syphoned out all the 93 pump that was in there and i added 10 gal of e85.
the car fired up just fine and base map was set but i noticed my fuel sending unit was dead and the needle is way way underneath the E mark. i pulled out the pump and hanger and tested sending unit by grounding one of the wires and it slowly went up to full. so i know my gauge in my cluster works.
i was out with some friends today and my friend converted to e85 on his honda (cant remember what car it was) and it killed his fuel sending unit. i did a search and noticed this is a common thing when changing to e85 on different makes.
is this a problem on the fd as well or did my sending unit just happen to die at the same time? i dont wanna spend money on a new one and just have the e85 kill within a day or 2.

i really want a working fuel gauge. running on e85 gets worse gas mileage and i dont wanna drive around guessing how much gas i have or topping it off every time i drive it
