E85 Fuel Filters

I was looking at these, but it says they are not E85 compatible but are methanol compatible!
WTF? Isn't methanol more coorosive than ethanol?

If thats the case, there are a lot of people in trouble!
Actually these stainless filters, filter better than the filter I had on there!
I'm running 2-45 micron filters plus the pickup sock.

i prefer filterin 20mic and smaller like 10mic. that i use,
you dont want one 25% blocked injector at 20psi of boost and all the other injectors flowin 95-100%.
have you ever heard of lean on one injector= boom.

The standard in most source I've read recommend 10 microns for filters feeding the rails/injectors. The automotive "bible" (Bosch Auto Handbook) say 8-10 microns also... that's settles it for me.

That's hard to find in a stainless element. If you know of a source, this would be a great place to share it.

The Canton Racing filters go down to 8-micron, but they are not stainless steel so you will need to replace the element as a course of maintenance.

I am going to follow your suggestions. I am running one of these before my injectors. I am going to put it in a place that is easily accessable so I can change the filter every few weeks.
Check it out!

Better look at the tank with the pumps.
Hard anodized. 1.8 liter, enough for approx. 800 RWHP for about 60 seconds. This is looking at it upside down.

That is the return line. The FPR prevents cavitition because the 044's pump so much volume.

Turns out my friend, Brandon works for Speedway Motors (small world)
He called me and explained why these fuel filters work with methanol but don't work with ethanol (E85)
Turns out there is an additive in E85 that eats the glue away that they use on the filters. I guess methanol doesn't have this additive.
He is going to send me two new filters free of charge that will work with E85!
Now that is customer service!
