NS Looking for a base map for single turbo S8

Hello All,

I have an adaptronic plug and play and need a base map for a single turbo FD. Ideally with dead times loaded for Bosche 1600 Sec and 1000 Pri injectors.

Im almost certain its down to injector dead time mapping but I cant find any refference for dead times online for my injectors.

To try and prove its this I am looking for a good base starting point...

Thanks in advance,

Charlie.

I'd call Bosch and see what information they can provide you, given you provide part/serial numbers for each injector. They are an awesome company to deal with, and I'm sure they'll be helpful.

The factory basemaps from Adaptronic are derived from Ric Shaw's tuning and aren't too greedy. There's more to be had, but don't expect to just run hard right out of the box. Take time, input all of your necessary information, and slowly get things to work before driving the car.

Also you need to be aware that the basemap for the Adaptronic is for a sequential twin turbo car and not a single turbo. The fuel map is set up for the sequential boost pattern and should not be used on a single turbo car.

You can check out my thread on my single turbo tuning progression, however you shouldn't use my map for your car. It may however give you an idea of what in general you are looking for!

True, which is why information should be derived from the combination of the Series 5 FC and Series 6 FD. Combine and mirror what you can.

There are some threads on the Adaptronic forum posted by Elliot at Turblown that have some different base maps for single turbo cars. I actually started with one of these and then tuned forward from there.

I will say that when I first got up and running on that map I was pretty lean across the boost regions. If using any base map like this from the internet I would always recommend adding a crapton of fuel in all of the positive pressure cells and then tuning down from there. I added so much to the basemap after seeing that leaning that I was seeing low 10's and even dropping into the high 9 AFR's in some places. I fouled some cheap plugs and burnt some gas but my motor is still alive.

I have spoken to Elliott and Shawn.

I also posted on the adaptronic forum. They do have a series 8 base map and I have adjusted to work for a single.

I am actually starting to suspect my rear secondary injector may be bad. I have proven it electrically through the software but I think the injector filter may be broken.

I will keep you all posted!
