Tried posting in the single turbo section and didnt get any responses. But my idle is bouncing around and the afr is all over the place. Could it be something in the adaptronic select series or something like the IACS/AWS? Also i just realized the idle seems to good and smooth at start up but then after a few seconds starts bouncing. The car has block off plates and rats nest removed for the single turbo setup. I can easily take more pictures if anyone has any suggestions.
It could be a number of things really. From a tune setup standpoint, erratic idle can be driven by an unstable map signal running the fueling across cells of different values, closed loop fueling due to high gain and the base table being far from the actual target causing overshoot and oscillation, or closed loop idle control effectively doing the same thing. Outside of the tune, either a vacuum leak of improperly setup throttle body can cause it which only gets worse if combined with the issues above.
Can you provide more details on the car, engine, ecu, harness, tb, injector and idle control setup?
Last night i tried to recalibrate the innovative wideband and after talking to Innovative i believe i have a bad sensor. I ordered a new one that will be here tomorrow to see if the oscillation will stop or atleast get accurate data.
Its been about 15 years since i've had an RX7 and this is my first FD so i am rusty and trying to learn.
My specs
93 FD
Rebuilt street ported 13-REW motor (i dont know the exact parts used)
Adaptronic Select Series 6 (older plugin ecu with updated board connected to the stock harness)
stock tb with a stock TPS.
I was told larger injectors but they look stock and use the stock fuel rails so im not sure how to confirm this one yet.
