how to Tune with adaptronic

I am new to tuning engines and i would like to start learning. My background is building cars, fabricating, and wiring. I have never had the chance to tune a car, but im willing to learn. My set up in the perfect world should make close to 500hp on a dyno.

Adaptronic 440
850cc /1860cc inj
Dual bosch 044
EGT gauges
Innovated wideband
Water/ Meth
Ls coils
Tex racing dogbox

I feel that i have all the tools to tune my car but i lack the knowledge on how to do it. My set up is always changing and thus the need to learn how to has been lurking in my head. I know the basics as far as air and fuel, but im not too sure on the timing a rotary engine needs. I know it takes years of experience to get this right, but im willin gto give it a shot. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Everything is wired in and the car has a idle tune i put in myself. I plan to go to the track next week and getting a base tune that i can play with is all i need. Looking for 10psi to start off.

Hi ballinnmiami2,

There's lot's of tuning info floating around this forum but not a lot that is specific to our ECU as it's new. Consider joining Raymond and Chuck's tuning group on Yahoo. There's lot's of help and documentation there to get you started. Yes, this is a PFC specific group but the group will help with other ECUs. I'd venture to say that Raymond and Chuck would like to see the group grow beyond the PFC.

Post here too. This amateur will try to help!

best,

James

This is great, thanks Elliot / Andy! May I make one request for those if us that are hard of hearing? Please kill the music. It makes it really hard to hear Andy speaking at least for me.

Thanks for the videos Andy and Elliot.

Flying_solo, I have the same issue and my hearing is just fine. I found that this was due to the low quality speakers in my laptop. Give it a try with a bit more expensive of a set.

That said, Andy, it would help if you mixed in the music at 50% of the volume level it's at now.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I didn't realize it was harder to hear when using pc speakers, I use headphones everytime I watch the videos. I'll let Andy know right away.
