Exclamation Getting Fuel Pressure via OEM MAP Plug Issues

Hi all,

Just finished my re-wiring on my car, and all the sensors seem to work, but the OEM MAP plug adapter wires to 0-150PSI sensor harness and the ECU is not reading more then 0.04-0.07Volts fluctuating, as if the signal wires is not getting any pressure. I tested the wiring on the map sensor plug and I am getting 5.5V power, red wire, ground on black center wires and also getting ~5V on the feedback wire, which makes no sense, since the ECU is showing IMAP_ext as 0.04-0.07V.

Anyone have this issue happen? Short of tracing the green wires from the plug to the ECU and check continuity, i am stumped as to why im not getting higher voltages. Since 0.5-4.5V is the measurement for the sensor. And it should be a simple plug and play, the only difference in wiring is power and sensor wires are reversed between how the factory map sensor is vs aftermarket pressure sensor.

Do you have it set in the ecu?
Go to fuel pressure sensor under inputs and make sure its set to ch3 imap ext.
and sensor type to 0.5v to 4.5v (150psi).

I do yes, exactly as you described! even with my mechanical gauge mounted in the regulator showing 20-40psi the rail mounted sensor is only fluctuating 0.04-0.07V like there is no wire connection!

I am still having this issue so i can only think of one thing, which is the wiring, anyone has a diagram if i am not mistaken the left and right are reversed for the MAP plug to a liquid sensor. A(+) B(-) C(signal) is C B A at MAP!

connector latch is facing down

red to brown, black to black, white to green

if you have it wired correctly i would check the voltage input at the sensor and the voltage output at the sense, I have some issues with my sensor where it flakes out occasionally and i think it is the sensor itself.

Thanks, I tried two sensors with the same issue! First time it was a bad crimp and now testing and its all nothing! Innovate Liquid pressure sensors so good quality stuff!

just a possibility. yours is constant so it should be easy to narrow the problem down.

Thumbs up

Just wanted to give a heads up, the Innovate sensors are great and very reliable and my issue turned up to be the harness plug, one of the sensor out on the sensor side (white) the metal pin in the connector was not making a full contact! Drove me insane, but all is well now!

Thanks to all those that provided their input and wiring colors helped as well!
