E420D CAS Wiring

Hello, I was wondering if somebody could confirm how to wire my s4 crank angle sensor into my e420d. I've managed to figure everything else out with gathered information but this one is just leaving me a little stuck.

Shortcut for CAS wiring for either the E420D basic, or E440D Select is;

Red Wire( CAS2- Pin 2G on the Adaptronic loom) coming out of the 4 core( shielded) Adaptronic loom goes to the Green on the FC3S CAS( Green color is the Crank Angle side of the connector)

Black wire( CAS1- Pin 2E on the Adaptronic Loom) coming out of the 4 core loom goes to the RED on the FC3S CAS( again RED is on the Crank Angle side of the connector).

The other two wires on the Crank Angle sensor can be " T" and then grounded, or ran to the white ground coming out of the 4 core Adaptronic CAS loom.

CAS1 in the Adaptronic loom refers to Trigger 1, and CAS2 is trigger 2 in the ECU settings BTW.

And also the wiring does change colors going through this shielded loom. So where you terminate to the factory crank angle sensor, has white, black, red, green, and on the other end white is gone, and there is a larger Black with a green stripe.

Green( CAS3) in the Adaptronic loom is not used.

Can I T these two wires and ground them with the rotor housing grounds?

Hi mate, it's better to ground those wires using a sensor ground. So that's the white wire in the diagram that connects to pin 2C in the Adaptronic.

Thanks.
