Changing trigger wheel need some help/info

SO I have the 60-1 trigger wheel from FFE. Long story short I guess there was an issue with it and FFE is sending me a 36-2 which will be here this week. So do I just simply swap them out and then in the adaptronic software make the changes to the trigger? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Carl

I just got my FD with an FFE 36-2-2-2 RX8 pattern wheel with stock reluctor running this past weekend. I use the premade trigger mode "RX7 w FFE RX8 trigger, reluctor". My Modular ECU didn't like this setting until I updated to the latest Eugene software release (2.07) and the latest firmware that comes with it. The car wouldn't do anything and when viewing the trigger input on the scope, the wave forms looked correct. I don't know which version of the software/firmware was previously loaded, but the latest worked right out the gate. Hope this helps.

Also as a point of reference, I was setting my base angel with the new trigger wheel and it required retarding the angel offset by 10* for both the front and rear rotor.

I didn't realize that the 36 and the 60 tooth wheel actually line up. I had a shop do a lot of work few years ago including a rebuild. I have the older pnp adaptronic. So i just reset the ecu to use the 36 tooth and direct fire settings locked timing and fired her up. No issues at all. I didn't need to retard or add any timing.
