I would try increasing your ignition trim advance, start with 10 at -50 rpm and interpolate up to 15 at -200 and see if that helps. you are already not running much advance in the idle area so this may help. my half bridge recovers nicely with those settings but it may be too much for a street port or stock ports.

try adjusting the idle trim first and see if that helps solve the dipping, if it starts hunting it is too much. after that try reintroducing overrun and lean out margin.
thanks! I will try that this weekend. Got a little busy past few days so I haven’t touched the FD but hoping to sort that out by Monday and touch base to see if it went well!

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but it happens to me, too.

However, mine is a bit weirder:
At cold start, car idles at the normal high idle (1300rpm) for the first 10 seconds or so. Then it lowers down to normal idle, around 1000rpm. Fine.
But soon after that, the idle starts to bounce/search up and down, swaying between 750 and 1300, which it does until the car is completely warm (around 80+ deg. celcius). Even when warm, it has a very minor searching (going between 900-950rpm or so). During the warm up, the searching gets less and less serious.
When searching, the idle sometimes dips so low that the engine dies out. This even happens occasionally while driving, upon clutch out/no throttle.

I'm on an Adaptronic plug-n-play, tuned by my local shop.
Engine/turbo are all stock except:
80mm turbo-back exhaust
Air pump delete/block
cone filters

I've tried playing around with the Adaptronic idle tuning, but haven't found something that works. I'm not familiar with the software, nor with tuning, (except the basic theories), so I don't want to mess around too much.

Any thoughts??

Thanks in advance!!

lots of things could cause your problem. you should start your own thread with what ecu (select, modular) car(2nd gen, 3rd gen) and post your current tune along with a log of the problem so people can look through that to help you.
