Unhappy Air flow meter delete

I have an S4 Turbo2 and I'm attempting to delete my afm using my Adaptronic 440. I followed the instructions on the manual by splicing the AFM brown wire to the adaptronic Aux 5 black/red wire. The ecu is set at fuel pump for the aux 5 output slot. The engine starts for 3 seconds then dies, at idle and with throttle so I'm assuming that the fuel pump is shutting off. I've been searching for a while but no real answers. Are there any other wires from the AFM that need to be grounded or bridged? Maybe I'm missing something that isn't stated in the manual.

I'm kinda in the same boat but I'm using a power fc, been asking for months to no avail. Mine won't start at all, not sure if that black/red needs see ground or a specific voltage. If you get an answer please share.
