Yes, Innovate and AEM warm up and maintain the sensor too quickly, but as always, you get what you pay for. Any ECU Integrated controller is going to be superior option. Emtron (integrated), Link (integrated), or the previously mentioned external CANBus options are always going to be more durable than some $150 Innovate kit.

I did find a variance in AEM products over the last 10yrs this weekend. So far it's at least 3 different tables of varying voltages vs. AFR.

Right now on Cole's car it's 0.5v = 8.5 AFR, 4.5v = 17.8 to match the wideband. We're doing small changes here and there to correctly match the ECU to the Wideband Gauge throughout the slope, but it's only 2-Point, so it shouldn't be long til it's dialed.

I know this... Not sure why you thought I didnt. That does not change the fact that I was letting you and everyone know that the AEMs output delay no longer is a problem.

Serial matches the gauge exactly.

Sorry, I couldn't figure out -- does this method allow you to run the same Bosch sensor to both the Adaptronic ECU AND the AEM gauge at the same time?

To finish it off use some 4:1 shrink wrap with a glue adhesive lining to seal every thing up nicely. As for the power and ground. You can ground the gauge to the chassis and the best method would be to use a relay to power up the gauge with OEM Recommend fuse.

No this is simply the method to connect the AEM gauges to the Adaptronic ECU via the Serial port on the front of the ECU.

Thanks so much for the explanations thus far @RGHTBrainDesign and @Tuned By Shawn So I've been doing a fair bit of reading up on this.

I am currently using an adaptronic ECU (already installed) with the OEM O2 sensor.

Goal: I want to replace my OEM O2 Sensor with a Bosch/UEGO wideband O2 sensor for better, more accurate tuning, and to install the AEM UEGO Gauge.

My understanding of what I need to do is:
1) replace oem O2 Sensor with Bosch O2 Sensor
2) wire up UEGO gauge and sensor as instructed
3) take the blue wire (serial out) from the UEGO gauge output and splice into serial cable, and plug it into "Input 1" on the ECU
4) open Eugene and change O2 sensor to input 1, select Bosch wideband, and "Serial Only"
5) start her up and tune

Is that right?

Alternatively, can I plug the blue serial wire into ECU pin 3D, configure that as wideband/serial, and save a Serial In port?

Any help appreciated; thanks in advance!

Im trying to do this same thing except without the 3846 connector, i have the proper pins and 2x2 molex connectors. My question is which serial pin would the white wire from the connector go to? ie. pin top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right. does the serial pin even matter as long as its any pin on the serial input 1?

To clarify if i were to take the blue aem uego wire and plug it into the modular ecu serial port which pin slot would it need to be connected to? thanks for all the adaptronic info btw.

update a google image search gave me one of your write ups, Is this the correct pin?

did you ever get a response from this?
I don't really mind buying the cable if I have to but shipping included its almost $50 Aus... when I know I can just plug into the correct pin and save 😁
this is the only place on the internet I've been able to find an answer. I asked Adaptronic and all they told me was what each pin was, not which one to connect to 🤦‍♂️
