Rare Parts?
Thanks man. I got lucky with that find at a car model hobby shop off International Dr in Orlando. I saw it was stupid at first and didn't buy it. Went back like 2 months later and it was still there. It was meant to be mine. I also have a rare metal mug that I will post a picture of later.
kenn chan has one. I'm not sure if he has an S4 or S5, but I ordered and sent him a Power FC since they wouldn't ship overseas to him. That was part of our trade for the SSRs and big brake kit now on the widebody.
[QUOTE=mckinneyml;6371621]Ok, here are some pictures of tonneau covers that I have found. The first two look like they mount to the ceiling and cover the rear windows. The last one is like a typical SUV cover and rolls up.

Actually I have the leather one in my car, although it's gotten a bit water damaged. The cover has a bar going across behind the rear seats where the middle snaps too. The pockets then hang down and snap onto, I suppose, the rear bulk head. Then you have these nice little pockets to put stuff in. The long ends go back and stay and the middle hooks onto where the glass struts are and lifts. I'll get a good shot of mine inside later on.
You can kind of see it in this shot, and my other quite rare piece =)

I gotta ski rack I used to have mounted in the early 80's when it was my DD. The top would mount at the body hatch hinge and the other part would go thru the opening of the rear bumper and body and attach at the tow tie down. I don't remember if it was a dealer or aftermarket part anymore though.
I am going for a very minimal looking dash maybe only tach behind the steering wheel, and i just like the idea of the speedo in the center console for some reason.

It's real
Hmm lets see how about this one

Picked this up off Ebay a few years back from Charlie Hurst, Walt Bohren's crew chief. For those that don't recognize the name this is the original door off of the 1979 factory #77 Daytona Racer the car was used (i think given) to Walt Bohren following Daytona then the number was changed to 7

I'm sure you have all of us beat with your 'little' collection. I was so hoping that door was in the green colors in case I ever got a wild hair to build a replica of the factory car.

or is it just impossible to find...
Nobody ever said the rare parts had to be stock...
I've got an ISCRacing airbox. I got it shortly before they stopped listing it on their site and don't know if they're available anymore. Mine is the only car I've ever seen with one, or one like it.
My clear/opaque taillights are one of only 3 made like them. IoTus made a set for his car (that he sold, don't know who has it now), one set for DirectFreak and a set for me.
An immaculate condition Canadian owner's manual, printed in both official languages (English/French). There can't be many of those still in good condition.
I had a stock block heater. I threw it out because it was useless on my summer car, but it probably would be rare. It was the strangest thing, like a metal heating element that bolted around rotor1's spark plugs.
Ron Davis aluminum radiator. I don't know who else has one, but can't be many people. In fact, there wasn't even a picture of it on the website until after they made mine!
That about sums up my rare parts unless Dan Atkins' lenses, powdercoated + rims or FD alts with dual v-belt pulleys are rare.
Oh yeah, and a glass sunroof, of course!

Finally got the pics up for the Kas Kastner Holley Turbo kit installed in my 82 GSL. I'm still not sure how rare the kit is, or how many people have it still as I've seen some inquiries about it online but no in depth detail.
I still have all the installation instructions and documents related to the kits production, but replacing the Rajay blower with one exactly the same might prove a little difficult now that the company that makes them no longer builds turbos for cars.

man im seein a lot of great parts i bet very few will sell. i just bought mint conditions tan a-pillar pieces and turn signal assembly with cruise at very good prices. keepin it for spares.. does that count as a rare part? lol
I have original tire chains that came from dealership and original owner, some documentation on ownership, books, business card from salesman. I also have a set of one off BOYD wheels, before Boyd Coddington's, 15x7 in 4x110, refinishing and drilling some holes for my new baby's 4x114....maybe....
