Just wanted to say there was a sad turn-out for 7's at the "Car meet" at Treasure Island... Only 2 7's, but a crap load of other nice Imports, Euro's too!

Preston, why would you want to buff your car back after it gets painted? It should already be looking all nice and shiney after the paint job.

 

well after the car gets painted i think that you are supose to buff it imeadiatly anyways.

 

No didn't get an Fd, just sayin if I had one I'd do that lol

 

I was always told that after the car is painted you should wait at least 10 days to a month before going back and buffing it. Just to let the paint cure all the way.. Even if its been baked in a booth it still needs a couple days to finish curing...

Eh just working a whole lost mostly... Still saving as much money as I can... I am going to take tomorrow off. We're headed up to the Tahoe area to get one last run in with our Jeeps through a nice trail before it gets too damn snowy around there...

hey everybody finally got a fc. wondering if there are any members in the san francisco area. havent seen many around.

 

No you let the car dry out for a month before buffing it.
The clear coat ( if you got 2 stage) Is still soft and any heat will rub it right away.Also use only hand glaze to keep it shinny (NO WAX) this will trap the solvents from fully evaporating.

 

Also were having a east bay rotary meet im sure we could put this together and have the easy bay guys roll down to treasure island.
I forgot who gets the Union City - Krispy Kreme meet but i'll get in contact.They might think it's too far but they do meet up every Saturday un Union City.
