omp and megasquirt

i was thinking about what it would take and how to modify stuff in the engine bay and in the car and i was wondering since my s5 has an electric omp (i believe the electric single tell the omp how much oil to let through) how would megasquirt do this or would you need to run premix or does the pump have a base setting that it will pump so much oil at a given rpm with out the electric signal
(i plan on using a extrenal oil feed tank for the omp later on so i know it gets nice clean 2 stroke oil)
thanks
joe

no one knows how to do this. you have a couple options replace your front cover with a s4 front cover and use a mechanical oil metering pump.. or just premix..

I've not heard of anyone driving the stock S5 OMP yet. There's a few issues here: 1.) Special hardware needed to drive the stepper motor, 2.) Mapping information needed to deliver the appropriate amount of lubricant, 3.) Software modified to drive the stepper based on map. This could be done with the existing MS1 code with some creative hardware.

There's also a 3rd. gen(FD3S) adaptor to run the mech. OMP that PCV Technologies sells. The 3rd gen has the same OMP bolt pattern as the S5, from what I gather it should work. That one also allows you to run 2-stroke oil.But you need to rig up linkage to the TB,(i.e. bike/motorcylce cable and bracket) and a tank/line for the 2-stroke oil.

MS2-extra seems to be picking up steam at a great rate lately, maybe OMP support will be added since it already has the hardware on it to run a IAC stepper motor?

so what do you guys think is the easiest way to go other then premix because i KNOW i will forget and i KNOW ill always mix to much which cant be that bad but im a very forgetful person ill put down a wrench for 1 sec and spend 2-3 minutes looking for it so i need something that i cant mess up
any other CRAZY ideas out there like running the oil through the adapter plate with no omp hmmmm this should be something people are looking at
thanks

I started working on an S5 OMP controller about a month ago, but haven't had time to get very far with it.

Once I get something workable I'll post somewhere in this forum.
