I've been told that my car is my girlfriend. She's good company and a looker, at least.

My wife rarely says that because: I drove it to work daily from June 1992 until the summer of 2003 and that is the only car I have had since 1992. She is on her second car in that same time period, plus I do drive mine at lease once a week.

My fallback is reminding her of her thanking me for not letting her persuade me to buy a larger two story house instead of the single we have.

After all I am the one who makes logical decisions.

Since I have little time to ever work on it, it seems that it may never be finished and driveable again. I'm the one that seems to bounce back and forth on the possibility of selling it.

I keep saying if I can't do any better than I'm doing, someone else should have it

AS it sits now (pic taken yesterday)

I cut the grass around it less than 2 weeks ago...

The new paint looks great. Take out a 0% APR credit card and take it to a shop to finish it up. You can then make payments on it. I keep telling my brother and friends; for car guys, a car is a man's escape from reality. When you work on your dream car and/or drive it, you feel young again and you forget about your daily problems in those moments (because you have to think about your rx7 problems lol)

Thankfully, my wife's father has a C3 and 59 MB 190SL that has occupied their garage for most of her life so an FD sitting in my garage is normal.

While your wife is healing up you need to fill it up and drive north Gregg. The beer and an optional cigar will be free to off-set costs.

Solution: If someone figures it out, please let me know
even worse is what tends to happen when they get that attention.

They say she'll be fine after a few days in the hospital...

In all seriousness, I know what she is saying but...wtf? It isn't hurting anything, you know?
My wife owns horses. I get an infinite free pass for life.

(If only it was free)

You call that "grass"? I know farmers that would pay good money to come and bale that, or your could sell it to degreesman's wife for her horses! Then, you could take the money and finish your car

replaced my bike

My wife is awesome. I have 4 daughters, 2 in the teens, no sons. she tolerated me having a motorcycle to get some adrenaline/testosterone. 2 years ago i got hit on the freeway and she said no more bike. But a month ago i found a forgot about Rx Fd, got the green light from her and bought it, even agreed to let me dump another 5k right off the bat to start restoring it. Now, check with me in a couple months when she wants to cuddle but I'm stuck head deep in the engine bay of my new lady. Might be a diff. story then.
