You can't gripe at me anymore for having no ECU
Well, you guys can't bitch at me anymore for not having an ECU with my mods b/c I got my Gforce last night. Right from the beginning the car drove much smoother and idling seemed a little more consistent. The car didn't jerk hardly at all which is totally a new thing. Without even touching the boost controller (.65-.7 bar) it was definitely faster. Faster than I had ever felt it. My AVC-r seemed to be working pretty good as well. I wasn't getting any problems that I had previously been seeing. I am going to the dyno in about 2-3 wks. I will let you know what I make. Thanks again for putting it so bluntly obvious that an ECU was for me, even though I was getting one anyway.

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling more horse power with the new ECU. I just installed a DP and I am overboosting to 14-15! So I can't even give it WOT. I just bought an M2 ECU and a profec B from a couple guys on the forum(both in the mail as I type). I can't wait to get my car all dialed in!
BucRx7 be careful with that ECU, I was going to buy it, but japan has higher octane gasoline, therefore probability is that the timing is advanced alot on that ECU. I'm not going to tell you it won't work at all, because I haven't tried it so I don't know that, but just be careful and pay close attention to what your car is doing. If you already bought it then I would just run the highest gas possible whenever you fill up, and hope that you don't get any detonation. Maybe use some kind of aftermarket fuel management unit, like the Apexi S-AFC or something.
Black99: Jpecracer7 told me he was running 89 octance on his car and when he added some octane booster it ran better. If he is able to run 89 octane with octane booster then I should be able to run 93 octane fine. We'll see how it goes. Keep my fingers cross.
Damn that sucks someone pm'd me before I bought it telling me that it pretty much wouldn't work unless I ran octane booster all the time, that's why I backed out of buying it. I am just on a tight budget and can't afford to be playing around with "it should work". Well good luck to you and hopefully it will run ok on 93, and keep those fingers crossed.. lol
