Thumbs up Yeeaaa!!!! At Last Blitz Sbc Id Iii Settings Work

Hey guys i just got finish testing my settings with the BLITZ SBC ID III boostcontrol, i did some searching and it helped, i must say that the search is very helpfull if you keep digging.

if you follow these instruction you should be good with the SBC ID III settings.

Gain affects how fast boost rises.
SET - sets the amount of boost you want. ( the 0 -100 was kinda confusing )

i had to play around with it a bit until i cought on to how it worked. When i first installed the boostcontrol, i followed the instruction of another post by setting the gain to 5 and my SET to 12. Well for 4 months i got no more than 7.4 psi. thinking that it was becuase i have 125,897 miles on my OEM engine and stock turbos, and that both were just tired.

before you adjust your GAIN AND SETTINGS DO THIS FIRST.

First go set your boost override. I wanted to run 11.5PSI max, my boost override is set at 12psi with -5 ratio. this helps to prevent over boosting. i then started out with 25 for set and still 5 for gain, i got 8.6 psi. i then set the SET higher to 35 and got 10.3 psi, and by now you know there was a big big smile on my face. i finaly set it to 50 and got 11.4 psi, since the boost cut was at 12 i said lets go for it why not SET 60 and this shot me up to 13psi, i was overboosting so i dialed back the SET to 54 and got a solid 11.5 wich is what i wanted. My gain ended up being at 10.

Hope this really helps those that have this boost control.

I am definetly happy with mine to. Do you have the power meter also? I haven't played around with mine yet, but you can adjust boost according to speed also. Besides the fact that you can measure HP and accleration also. I ended up modifying the stock DIN pocket to fit both I lost the locking part of the door, but I can still swing up the door and hide the components when I am parked.

I could post a pick if you would like.

hey oorx7 man i was going to use my door as well, but i was not paying attention and before you knew i cut the DIN pocket in half and it was useless. So thats why i had to go with the plexi glass.
i have the power meter, but thats my next project, i think i have the orange wire on the wrong terminal on the ECU connector,
do you know or have a pic of were that speed sensor wire goes. that would help thanks

Here are acouple pics of them installed. I am not a big fan of flashy interiors.

It was actually pretty hard to get it right. I only used a dremal. I bought one off the forum to practice and ended up using it. I still have my stock one, although I am keeping it if I decide to put my car back to stock. I will try and see if I can make some sort of template for you.
