Y-pipe have been loose!!!
Yesterday i was going to investigate a leak i have around my turbos. I have black smoke on my second turbo(i think) and it has sprayed on the parts around the turbo. Anyways i was gonna take off the y-pipe and the heat shields when i discovered that the y-pipe was loose on the side next to the first turbo(again the one i think is the first turbo).
I have had normal boost readings all the time except for some high boost peaks around 13 psi.
My only mod has been a custom exhaust, stock cat and downpipe.
I find it very strange that i have had good boost.
Just wanted to vent myself.
Also i can add that i didnt find a way to take off the heat shields without taking the turbo's and the manifold off.
Does anyone know how to get it off so i can see where the leak comes from?

how do you have black smoke on your secondary turbo? do you mean soot?
BTW: secondary turbo is the one nearest the firewall and logically the primary is the one closes to the nose of the car.
when you mean loose, do you mean it was hanging off the y pipe? perhaps the hood closing down on the top of the cross over pipe held it down enuf and you are overboosting a lot!

if your wastegate vaccum line came off, your car would boost supe high. actually any of the 150 vaccum lines could have caused this, I would suggest double checking all the vaccum lines, especially the ones near the turbo. did you try tightening that down and going for a ride? Make sure to watch your boost gauge!
