Here are a couple of pics from when I first recieved mine. Don't worry, this was just a mock up. I removed the rest of the stock duct(the car is not my daily driver). I have a heat shield installed to block the hot air from the intake. I also have the group buy duct on the way. I'm seriously thinking about relocating my air intake sensor to my elbow and doing tests on it just to crush all the heresay. Nope, def. don't care that much. Its cheap and performs better than stock. Not to mention that if you sand off the XS power on the top, it looks pretty decent. One other note: I rotated the flange 90 degrees so it would work with my apexi bov.

Well, after seeing their new auctions, it leads me to believe that they put a lower opening bid and figured it would go higher, and didnt! When I did my search, there were several IC auctions starting at $99.99, and now they are all bumped up, and I know they didnt end already.....someone revised them! Then they upped the opening bid cause a few of us were getting some sweet deals! Like I said, it makes no sense to me and when I looked at the auction it said "turbo II", but then says FD3s??? Either way, if they dont ship me an IC and piping, Ill file for a refund with my credit card company due to non-reciept of an item and they will be SOL! Ill post as soon as i recieve it though!

It clearly says in the title it's the pipe kit. I had a friend that bought one(expecting only the pipe kit) and thats what he recieved. Maybe you'll get lucky, but I wouldn't bold my breath. They have had auctions like that for the last few months(maybe longer); it's the same description as the whole kit, it just says in the title that it's for the intercooler pipe kit. That actually what saves them. I hope you get the whole kit, that would be sweet... but at the same time... if you purchased through paypal, they only protect against a transaction where no package was sent last I heard. Best of luck though.

I've been reading responses to this post for a while, since we're talking intercoolers I'd like to point out an Ebay company I've purchased off 4 times now, they carry some pretty rare and cool stuff, take a look at this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RX-7-...40354551QQrdZ1
This is different, and why the heck would you want an intercooler made from stock cores? Aren't the stock cores noted to have close to a 3psi drop across them?? Anyways, just thought I'd throw this out here for people to see. K.

Well, after sitting and reading that auction over and over, I finally decided to email some of the people who got the same deal I did. Every person I emailed either got the complete kit or was awaiting it and expecting the full kit. Well see what happens though!

XS Power intercooler

Well i recieved mine today. Inercooler and all the pipes w connectors.
I paid $112 for mine and it was well worth it. So for all of u thinking it too good to be true its not. I would recommend it for anyone not wanting to go spend $1000 on a intercooler kit.

I would recomend cleaing the intercooler pip before installing it. On inspection, the inside of the pipe is very dirty.

Another Ebay Intercooler question

I've been reading the threads about the XS Power IC for about a week now, contemplating purchase. However I found another similar intercooler that interested me even more. I've sent the seller questions asking if the 2.5" inlet/outlet are ID or OD, and if they are ID I think I will get one of these Ebay Intercoolers.

It's an 18x12 core (25x12 overall), which is the same as the Pettit Racing Coolcharge III correct? I believe the ASP Large is the same? If so, then I just need to relocate my battery (which I have done already) and fab piping/duct to make it work correct?

I'm turned off to the regular XS Power kit as my Efini Y-pipe would require me to fab custom piping anyhow, so if I can, I'd like to go bigger.

Thanks!
Marc

I'm curious, are the IC pipes and end tank piping beaded? If so, that's quite a deal. If not...that might be a recipe for coupler blow off.

From the looks of things, no. There's a lot of posts about running the XS Power Intercooler, and haven't read much about them having problems with hoses popping off.
