Hi All,
New guy here working on my 93 rx7 LHD and having problems with the headlights coming on and up. I've been reviewing the schematics off and on for days, just not good at reading them. A few notes/questions.

- Headlight switch appears good, at least according to my continuity tester. Running lights work.
- Headlights come up with the dash switch/ no lights.
- Headlight relay wires GY and W/L which come back from headlight relay on drivers,wheel well to the headlight switch are 12v until the switch is turned to running or headlights, then it goes to -o-. Is the relay grounded to make it work? Relay is getting power.
- The x-04 connector on the column side has 2 red wires I am focusing on.
- The solid red one with the probe is 12v - it works good.
- The red/black wire which is 2 wires down is defined has headlight (RH) Not sure what RH means. I cannot get 12v from this wire. I'm assuming the 12v is coming from the combination switch, not sure how??
- When I jump the red solid to the red/black headlights come on and up.
My main question is what triggers the red/black wire to get 12v, is it in the combo switch?

 

Ignore this post, or even delete if possible. I thought the relay was working properly, it was not. Probably have 8 hrs into this.

 

Glad you sorted it out! So was the relay totally failed?
