6k on a rebuild that your gonna need another one in another 80-100k miles, I don't think so. Just take it out send it to pineapple and put it back in, if you have any mechanical skills.

They might not have figured in thier core charge. That chould be a price for all new parts and no core. By the time you turn in a core and reuse some of your old stuff the price prob wont be so high.

Also, if that does include labor its prob about right because there are a ton of other gaskets that you'd have to buy to swap the motor if you were doing it your self. The exhuast manifold gasket alone cost $100 with tax from Mazda. There are water pump and housing gaskets, more turbo system gaskets, a bunch of copper crush rings that cost about $3 each, ect,ect,ect. This means if they are doing the swap there is prob a bunch of other stuff in there. Its not as easy as just SAYING "motor swap" There is actually a lot involved.

WHY NOT JUST ASK THEM TO BREAK DOWN THE PRICE AND REFAX IT SO YOU KNOW WHAT ALL IT INCLUDES INSTEAD OF HAVING ALL OF US GUESS.
